YOUR MISSION

As a Senior Accountant at True Anomaly, you will be a key contributor to the month end close process and the preparation of Monthly Financial Statements. This role will support the corporate office with continuous process improvements and regular close procedures within NetSuite. You will be critical in scaling the accounting function, implementing internal controls, and supporting system integration. This role will require someone who wants to dig in, design the processes, and own entries and processes within the general ledger. We are looking for a reliable problem solver,
someone who can demonstrate the ability to identify issues, develop scalable solutions, and operate with a high level of autonomy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis
Prepare accruals for accurate financial reporting
Manage overhead and fringe benefit allocations
Assist with fixed asset capitalization entries and maintain the fixed asset register
Prepare and manage prepaid expense entries
Support the implementation of accounting policies and best practices
Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the close process, implementing new procedures to improve efficiency and reduce the close cycle time
Support the preparation of Financial Statements
Support accounting in accordance with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) for CAS-covered contracts
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance accounting processes and systems
Support the annual audit
• Serve as a liaison between the accounting team and other departments to provide guidance and insights on financial matters
• Other tasks as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 3+ years of experience
CPA a plus
Strong knowledge of GAAP
Experience with government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards, and DCAA compliance is a plus
Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus
Analytical with exceptional problem-solving skills, high degree of ownership, and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Prior NetSuite experience preferred

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary:  $80,000 - $145,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave 

Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills, education, location, and experience.

  • Work Location—Successful candidates will be located near Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
