Support global certification team to manage and execute offshore wind certification projects. Perform site-specific design evaluations, technical reviews, factory and commissioning inspections, coordinate with clients, prepare evaluation reports, and drive process improvements. Travel to onshore and offshore sites as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Certification engineer (offshore) after successful employment will work under the supervision of the global certification team and support local and global offshore certification projects. He/she will essentially do organization, management and implementation wind certification project (including onshore & offshore, mainly offshore), in particular offshore site specific design evaluation, project certification.
Further, the engineer will be responsible for independent execution and timely completion of projects by analyzing project scope and determining project specifications, coordinating with clients and project manager during the course of the project and preparing evaluation report for clients. Further he/she will inspect customer factories to witness the correct implementation of specific designs, commissioning of wind turbines and inspection of manufacture, transport and installation.

  • Communication with business partners and customer relationship management
  • Project Management and co-ordination, execution and the customer communication
  • Collaborate and cooperate with the global team
  • Technical review of the documentation from clients/from UL inside
  • Manage ECD and deliverables
  • Integration of continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job
  • Optimization of work process

Additional Responsibilities for offshore :
  • Organize or take part in the offshore project certification activities such as: Surveillance of the RNA, support structure, commissioning
  • Communication with business partners at home and abroad
  • Offshore project site condition evaluation according to IEC61400-22 or IECRE OD502

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Masters/Bachelor's degree in Marine/Structural Engineering, or any equivalent field.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes involving steel structure fabrication and welding, is desirable.
  • Understanding of project certification schemes like IEC 61400-22 and IECRE OD 502 for wind farms.
  • Willingness to travel (within India and outside the country).
  • Time management skills.
  • Good Excellent organizational communication skills (English speaking and writing).
  • Customer focus, commitment, and independent work.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to work in a fast-paced consultancy environment.
  • Hands-on experience in project management.
  • Ability and willingness to develop and expand business.
  • Experience in the continuous development of work processes (Lean Six Sigma) is desirable.

Skills Required
