Team Overview
The Credit Risk Solutions team develops innovative products and solutions powered by consumer data and analytics to help organizations make better credit, marketing, collections, and risk management decisions. The team supports customers across financial services, automotive, mortgage, insurance, and government sectors by delivering solutions that improve business outcomes and support responsible lending practices. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Credit Risk Management and plays a key role in advancing the growth and modernization of the Credit Risk Solutions portfolio. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Own the product strategy and roadmap for assigned Credit Risk Solutions products, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market opportunities, revenue objectives, regulatory requirements, and broader product strategy.
- Drive the full product development lifecycle, including discovery, business case development, requirements definition, prioritization, launch readiness, adoption monitoring, and continuous improvement.
- Partner with customers, lenders, fintechs, and internal stakeholders to identify market needs, validate solution concepts, and translate insights into scalable product requirements and prioritized enhancements.
- Develop product propositions that leverage credit bureau data, scores, affordability signals, alternative data, and analytics capabilities to improve decisioning, approval rates, portfolio performance, and profitability.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and regulatory assessments to identify growth opportunities, modernization initiatives, and areas for product differentiation.
- Collaborate with Technology, Data Science, Analytics, Operations, Legal, Compliance, Security, and regional product teams to assess feasibility, manage dependencies, and deliver market-ready solutions.
- Provide direction to agile delivery teams through backlog prioritization, user story development, acceptance criteria definition, release planning, and trade-off management.
- Monitor product performance using revenue, adoption, usage, profitability, client feedback, and operational metrics to inform roadmap decisions and investment priorities.
- Lead go-to-market activities in partnership with Sales, Consulting, Marketing, Pricing, Legal, Compliance, and Operations, including positioning, enablement, training, launch communications, and customer adoption strategies.
- Act as a subject matter expert for assigned solutions, supporting client discussions, executive briefings, strategic opportunities, and cross-functional decision-making.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- 7+ years of product management experience in credit risk, consumer lending, financial services, fintech, credit bureau solutions, or data and analytics products, with demonstrated ownership of product strategy and execution.
- Strong understanding of the consumer lending ecosystem, including lenders, fintechs, credit bureaus, data providers, regulators, and decisioning platforms, and how these stakeholders influence product design and adoption.
- Deep knowledge of credit risk management across the customer lifecycle, including marketing, originations, underwriting, account management, portfolio monitoring, collections, and fraud prevention.
- Proven ability to develop business cases, evaluate market opportunities, define customer value propositions, and deliver measurable business outcomes through product innovation and portfolio management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Advanced degrees such as an MBA are preferred.
- Ability to translate credit bureau data, risk attributes, scores, affordability indicators, alternative data, and analytics into actionable product requirements and customer solutions.
- Experience working in agile product development environments, including backlog management, user story creation, acceptance criteria development, release planning, and product lifecycle management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using market research, customer feedback, product performance metrics, financial results, and portfolio trends to support product decisions.
- Knowledge of credit risk analytics, lending decisioning processes, and data-driven product development methodologies.
- Ability to communicate complex credit risk, analytics, data, and technology concepts to executive, commercial, technical, and client audiences.
- Experience working with international credit risk, lending, or bureau-based solutions across multiple markets.
- Knowledge of alternative data strategies, affordability assessment solutions, fraud prevention tools, and advanced analytics applications within lending environments.
- Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and influencing stakeholders within highly matrixed organizations.
- Experience supporting commercial activities such as pricing strategy, sales enablement, product positioning, client adoption, and revenue growth initiatives.
- MBA or other advanced degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
