Team Overview

The Financial Services team is responsible for driving growth across banks, lenders, fintechs, and other financial institutions by helping clients leverage TransUnion’s data, analytics, risk, identity, and decisioning solutions. The team partners closely with customers to identify business challenges, uncover growth opportunities, and deliver solutions that create measurable business outcomes. This team reports to the Financial Services and Fintech Sales Leadership organization and collaborates with Product, Operations, Client Success, and Solutions teams to achieve commercial objectives. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.

Role Overview And Core Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute account growth strategies to achieve and exceed annual revenue targets within the Financial Services portfolio.

  • Build, maintain, and expand relationships with key client stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor and primary commercial point of contact.

  • Identify and develop cross-sell, upsell, and new business opportunities by understanding client objectives and aligning them with TransUnion solutions.

  • Manage a healthy sales pipeline, providing accurate forecasting, opportunity tracking, and visibility into business performance.

  • Conduct consultative sales engagements with business, risk, operations, and executive-level decision makers to uncover client needs and propose value-based solutions.

  • Present complex products, solutions, and business cases to C-level executives, senior management, and technical stakeholders.

  • Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on client retention, revenue growth, and long-term relationship development.

  • Collaborate with internal subject matter experts, product teams, and operational partners to develop tailored client solutions and successfully advance opportunities.

  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activities, and market developments to identify emerging opportunities and strengthen client engagement strategies.

  • Maintain a high level of client service while balancing multiple priorities, projects, and deliverables in a fast-paced environment.

Required Knowledge and Experiences

  • 3+ years of sales experience within the Financial Services industry, including responsibility for business development, account management, revenue generation, and client relationship management.

  • Knowledge of the Financial Services market, including customer challenges, industry trends, and business priorities, to effectively identify opportunities and deliver relevant solutions.

  • Experience managing client accounts and building long-term customer relationships, with a focus on retention, account growth, and customer satisfaction.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience demonstrating commercial and client management capabilities.

Required Technical Skills

  • Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, for business analysis, reporting, client presentations, and proposal development.

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms for opportunity management, pipeline tracking, forecasting, and account planning.

  • Sales pipeline and revenue forecasting tools to monitor business performance and support commercial decision-making.

  • Presentation and communication tools to effectively deliver business cases, solution demonstrations, and executive-level presentations.

  • Project management and organizational tools to coordinate activities, manage competing priorities, and ensure timely execution of client deliverables.


Required Knowledge And Experiences

  • Knowledge of the credit reporting, information services, analytics, or risk management industry.

  • English language proficiency, both written and verbal, to support communication with regional and global stakeholders.

  • Experience identifying and executing cross-selling and upselling opportunities within existing client portfolios.

  • Strong strategic account planning capabilities, including client segmentation, growth planning, and relationship mapping.

  • Advanced negotiation, influencing, and executive communication skills that support engagement with senior decision makers.
