Here's what we're looking for in one of our openings:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and able to commute to our Sugar Land office during your internship.
- Interested in or pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Business, or a related field.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills-you enjoy helping others and collaborating across disciplines.
- Detail-oriented and analytical, you enjoy solving problems and thinking through the "why" behind customer behavior.
- Eager to gain hands-on experience with real-world software used in the construction industry.
What will you be doing?
- Partner with Product Managers and Business Analysts to support the soft launch of a new web-based estimating product for construction professionals.
- Leverage customer usage analytics, sales feedback, and marketing data to identify friction points and recommend improvements to the product and onboarding experience.
- Conduct interviews with estimators and construction professionals to gather real-world feedback and insights that guide product decisions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Development, Sales, Support, and Marketing to coordinate input and ensure alignment across teams.
- Help organize, track, and prioritize enhancement requests based on impact and urgency.
- Contribute to the development of internal and external documentation, including training content, onboarding guides, and product release materials.
- Research and document product insights, customer pain points, and acceptance criteria for new features.
- Monitor product usage trends post-launch and assist in continuous improvement efforts by suggesting updates or feature changes based on data and customer behavior.
Bonus Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
- Experience or coursework related to B2B software, SaaS platforms, or product development.
- Exposure to or interest in Agile product management practices.
- Knowledge of construction workflows, estimating processes, or field operations-especially helpful for shaping onboarding and feature design.
Here's what to expect:
- This internship is semester-based and we'll work around your school schedule. During the Fall/Spring semesters, you can work up to 25 hours a week.
- Training and mentoring will be provided and you'll receive feedback on your performance regularly. You'll have numerous opportunities to continuously grow your knowledge base.
