WHO WE NEED: 
The Facilities Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, organization, and basic maintenance of both indoor and outdoor areas of the facility. This role supports daily operations by performing cleaning tasks, restocking supplies, assisting with event setups, handling minor repairs, and responding to facility-related needs to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment.

Qualifications:
  • A motivated self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do. When they see a task that needs to be done, they tackle it.
  • Someone who is dependable and has reliable transportation to and from work.
  • An individual who can handle basic technology (email correspondence, computer navigation, basic typing skills).
  • A person who can be on their feet for extended periods and able to safely lift up to 50lbs unaccompanied.

Role Responsibilities:
Facilities (All Buildings)
  • Outdoor cleaning (parking areas, courtyard, green areas)
  • Empty all trash cans
  • Dusting & cleaning surfaces
  • Carpet vacuuming
  • Restocking bathrooms, kitchens, fridges
  • Cleaning up Coffee / water machines
  • Clean stove, microwaves & toaster pans
  • Gym towel laundry
  • Racquetball court Swiffer
  • Setup Fruit & snacks
  • Stripping and Waxing Floors
  • Clean and disinfect drinking fountains
  • Dog Kennels cleaning & monitoring
  • Moves, arranges, picks up, and distributes furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed (following safety guidelines)
  • Respond to spills and other cleaning emergencies
  • Kitchen supply pickups
  • Locks and unlocks doors and gates as appropriate; turns lights on and off; sets alarms; maintains security of assigned areas according to established guidelines; raises and lowers flags. 

Internal Events
  • Conference room setup/ teardown
  • Pickup needed supplies for events
  • After events: Move catering leftovers to kitchen areas

Maintenance 
  • Reporting maintenance issues
  • Elevator cleaning & monitoring
  • Minor electrical / plumbing repairs
  • Furniture moves
  • Employee requests
