Team Overview
The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team provides financial insights, forecasting, and strategic planning support to help business leaders make informed decisions and achieve organizational objectives. The team partners closely with finance and business stakeholders to improve financial performance, optimize resource allocation, and drive sustainable growth through data-driven analysis. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
Lead the development and consolidation of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and short-, medium-, and long-term financial plans.
Partner with business leaders to improve forecast accuracy and align financial objectives with operational strategies.
Analyze financial and operational performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic and operational decision-making.
Prepare and deliver financial reports, presentations, and performance updates for key stakeholders.
Monitor financial results against forecasts and budgets, performing variance analysis and presenting insights to leadership.
Support regional planning activities and evaluate the financial impact of business initiatives.
Drive process improvement initiatives within FP&A to increase accuracy, efficiency, and reporting quality.
Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, including IFRS and/or US GAAP.
Manage financial databases and reporting tools to support ongoing business analysis and performance monitoring.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field, providing the foundation for financial planning, reporting, and business analysis.
Minimum 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial control, or related finance functions.
Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, financial modeling, and long-range financial planning.
Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards, including IFRS and/or US GAAP, to ensure accurate financial analysis and reporting.
Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to support business planning and strategic decision-making.
