Our healthcare system is the leading cause of personal bankruptcy in the U.S. Every year, over 50 million Americans suffer adverse financial consequences as a result of seeking care, from lower credit scores to garnished wages. The challenge is only getting worse, as high deductible health plans are the fastest growing plan design in the U.S.
Cedar’s mission is to leverage data science, smart product design and personalization to make healthcare more affordable and accessible. Today, healthcare providers still engage with its consumers in a “one-size-fits-all” approach; and Cedar is excited to leverage consumer best practices to deliver a superior experience.
The Role
- Cedar’s Delivery team is responsible for the successful implementation of our products and ongoing customer support.
- Cedar is hiring a Manager, Delivery Strategy & Operations to help run and improve the operating system behind our Delivery organization. This person will own high-priority operational workflows that connect customer demand to capacity planning, cost visibility, leadership reporting, and day-to-day execution across Delivery and adjacent CX functions.
- This role is ideal for a highly analytical, systems-oriented operator who can both keep critical business processes running and improve them over time. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working across strategy and execution: building structure in ambiguous environments, translating data into decisions, and partnering closely with Delivery, Product, Finance, and other cross-functional leaders
- This person should also bring a strong automation mindset. Portions of the role should become simpler, more scalable, and less manual over time, and we want someone who is excited to use AI, tooling, and process design to strengthen the operating model rather than just maintain it.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve core Delivery Strategy & Operations workflows across staffing, cost visibility, planning, reporting, and operational continuity.
- Lead high-priority workstreams including Jira infrastructure and data stewardship, staffing and cost models, and strategic planning support.
- Build clear, decision-useful dashboards, models, and materials that help leaders make better resourcing and operating decisions.
- Partner across Delivery, CX, Product, and Finance to improve execution and keep critical operating cadences running smoothly.
- Identify opportunities to simplify recurring work through automation, AI, and better process design.
- Exemplify Cedar’s values.
- May require up to 10% travel within the US.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a consulting or operations role (or equivalent). Prior experience in client services operations and/or client implementations a plus.
- Strong analytical, modeling, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn ambiguity into clear recommendations and executive-ready materials.
- Demonstrated ability to independently run workstreams, manage stakeholders effectively, and deliver with consistency in fast-moving environments.
- A systems-thinking mindset and enthusiasm for using automation and AI to improve internal processes and team leverage.
- Intellectual curiosity; consistent desire to innovate and improve
- Healthcare experience or intuition is a plus; patient engagement or revenue cycle knowledge a plus.
