This position provides hands-on exposure to EHS Management Systems, including ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001, and offers opportunities to contribute to environmental sustainability, occupational health, risk management, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Working under the guidance of experienced EHS professionals, the GET will play a key role in supporting the organization's goals of Zero Injuries, Zero Occupational Illnesses, and Net Carbon Neutrality.

EHS Management Systems & Compliance
Support the implementation, sustenance, and continual improvement of GE HealthCare's EHS Framework standards and EHS Management Systems across manufacturing operations.
Assist in maintaining compliance with applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations and corporate requirements.
Support regulatory reporting and statutory submissions as required under applicable environmental regulations.
Participate in internal and external EHS audits and assist in audit preparedness and closure of findings.
Safety & Risk Management
Assist in conducting workplace safety inspections, audits, and observations, and support timely closure of corrective actions.
Participate in incident reporting, investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Conduct routine shop floor walkthroughs and engage with employees to identify hazards, address EHS concerns, and reinforce safe work practices.
Support the development and maintenance of Health & Safety Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and risk reduction initiatives.
Assist in contractor safety and safe work permit processes, as applicable.
Environmental Sustainability
Support environmental programs related to climate change, resource conservation, pollution prevention, waste reduction, energy efficiency, and biodiversity protection.
Participate in Environmental Aspect and Impact Assessments (EAIA) and drive continuous improvement projects.
Support sustainability initiatives aligned with GE HealthCare's Net Carbon Neutrality goals.
Assist in tracking and reporting environmental performance metrics.
Employee Engagement & Training
Support planning and execution of EHS awareness campaigns and events, including World Environment Day, National Safety Day, Chemical Disaster Prevention Day etc.
Deliver EHS induction and awareness training programs for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Support monthly Safety Committee meetings and employee engagement activities to strengthen safety culture.
EHS Projects & Operational Support
Support implementation of EHS programs and projects within production and support functions.
Assist in driving waste minimization, energy conservation, ergonomic improvement, and risk reduction projects.
Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, and service providers for EHS-related services, procurement, and project support.
Maintain EHS records, reports, inspection documentation, and performance dashboards.
Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech.) in:
Environmental Engineering
Industrial Safety Engineering
Chemical Engineering
Diploma in Industrial Safety from an institution recognized by the Department of Factories, Boilers, Industrial Safety & Health, Government of Karnataka (preferred).
Recent graduate or early-career professional with a demonstrated interest in Environment, Health & Safety and Sustainability.
Willingness to work in a manufacturing environment and actively engage with shop floor operations.
Ability to develop and maintain risk assessments, inspection records, standard operating procedures, and compliance documentation with strong attention to detail.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Exposure to manufacturing, industrial, medical technology, or production environments through academic projects, internships, or industrial training.
Basic understanding of EHS Management Systems and international standards such as ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001.
Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment methodologies, and implementation of risk control measures.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
High level of attention to detail and commitment to EHS excellence.
