Job Family Definition:

Designs, develops, troubleshoots and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new products. Develops software including operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases and Internet-related tools. Determines hardware compatibility and/or influences hardware design.

Management Level Definition:

Contributions include applying intermediate level of subject matter expertise to solve common technical problems. Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and recommendations for appropriate action. Works independently within an established framework and with moderate supervision.

What You'll Do:

  • Design, build, and maintain full-stack applications, internal portals, and microservices that support engineering data analytics and AI initiatives.

  • Develop backend services and APIs, and build responsive front-end interfaces for internal tools and portals.

  • Design clean, maintainable service boundaries that support the team's current and future needs.

  • Develop new features, enhance existing functionality, and troubleshoot production issues.

  • Learn and apply new tools and technologies, including AI-related frameworks, as project needs evolve.

  • Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code and follow established engineering practices.

  • Collaborate with Product, QA, Data, and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.

  • Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance tuning.

  • Design and optimize database queries, ensuring data integrity and performance.

  • Support deployments, maintenance, and ongoing platform improvements.

What You Need to Bring:

  • ~4 years of experience in full stack software development.

  • Strong proficiency in Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.

  • Experience building backend services and APIs with frameworks such as FastAPI or Node.js.

  • Solid front-end development experience with React (Angular or Vue.js also considered).

  • Experience designing and deploying REST APIs and microservices.

  • Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Teradata, etc.).

  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS).

  • Comfort with Git, testing, debugging, and Agile development practices.

  • Willingness and ability to learn new technologies as project requirements evolve.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Good to Have

  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Django.

  • Exposure to Generative AI/LLMs (OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP, RAG).

  • Experience integrating AI APIs into web applications (chatbots, assistants, search, or automation).

  • Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or other AI-assisted development tools.

  • Exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure), and CI/CD pipelines.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

  • Typically 4-6 years experience.
