As demand for fire suppression certification continues to grow across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, we are expanding our Fire Safety team and are seeking an experienced Engineer, Fire Suppression Certification to join us in Dubai.
In this role, you will manage certification projects covering UL and EN fire suppression standards, working closely with manufacturers, laboratory teams, and international stakeholders to ensure products meet regulatory and market access requirements.
RESPONSIBILITIES
What As an Engineer, Fire Suppression Certification, you will be responsible for the technical and project management aspects of certification programs, ensuring projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule. Alongside this, you'll:

• Review customer applications and assess certification requirements against applicable UL and EN standards.
• Define testing and certification scope to support quotation preparation and project planning.
• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Coordinate testing activities with UL Solutions laboratories and approved external testing facilities worldwide.
• Monitor project progress and ensure commitments are met within agreed timelines.
• Conduct or witness product testing at customer sites and third-party laboratories when required.
• Prepare, review, and maintain technical reports, certification documentation, and project records.
• Support quality initiatives, audits, process improvements, and technical training activities.
• Build strong relationships with customers and provide expert technical guidance throughout the certification process.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Laboratory Operations, Quality, and Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Safety Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong project management and organisational skills with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to interpret technical standards and apply them in practical certification and testing environments.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within product certification, testing, inspection, compliance, or regulatory environments.
• Knowledge of fire suppression systems, fire protection technologies, or related industries.
• Familiarity with UL, EN, CE, or other international standards and certification processes.
• Experience using project management tools and methodologies.
