Team Overview
The Credit Risk Solutions team develops innovative products and solutions powered by consumer data and analytics to help organizations make better credit, marketing, collections, and risk management decisions. The team supports customers across financial services, automotive, mortgage, insurance, and government sectors by delivering solutions that improve business outcomes and support responsible lending practices. This role reports to the Sr. Director, Credit Risk Management and plays a key role in advancing the growth and modernization of the Credit Risk Solutions portfolio. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by developing tailored credit risk strategies that improve portfolio performance, reduce losses, and support profitable growth.
- Partner with Sales teams to identify, qualify, and advance opportunities for TransUnion products, analytics, and risk management solutions.
- Demonstrate how TransUnion data assets, scores, and analytics solutions can be applied to optimize customer acquisition, portfolio management, collections, and customer engagement strategies.
- Develop and deliver compelling client-facing presentations, pitch decks, business cases, and case studies that clearly communicate business value.
- Conduct portfolio reviews, industry research, benchmarking exercises, and cost-benefit analyses to identify actionable opportunities for clients.
- Lead consultative solution development by translating client business challenges into scalable and value-driven recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Technology, and Analytics to support new product assessments and market opportunities.
- Monitor and contribute to achievement of Core Credit revenue objectives through client retention, growth initiatives, and solution adoption.
- Stay current on market trends, regulatory developments, competitive offerings, and evolving credit risk practices to identify emerging customer needs.
- Represent TransUnion at executive meetings, industry conferences, client events, and speaking engagements as a subject matter expert.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- 7+ years of experience within Financial Services, with demonstrated expertise in Credit Risk management across the customer lifecycle, including adjudication, account management, acquisition, or portfolio strategies.
- Strong understanding of credit risk principles, risk-based decisioning, and the development of lifecycle strategies using internal and credit bureau data to balance growth and risk objectives.
- Experience evaluating product profitability, portfolio performance, loss forecasting, and key financial metrics that influence lending decisions.
- Proven ability to influence stakeholders and communicate complex analytical concepts to business, operational, technical, and executive audiences.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, PivotTables, data analysis, and financial modeling techniques.
- Strong PowerPoint presentation development skills, with the ability to create executive-ready storytelling and client-facing materials.
- Ability to analyze and interpret credit bureau data, consumer credit attributes, and risk scores.
- Experience conducting quantitative business analyses, portfolio reviews, and cost-benefit assessments to support strategic recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate ambiguous situations and develop practical, data-driven solutions.
- Experience working with credit bureau data, analytics, or decisioning solutions.
- Knowledge of TransUnion, Equifax, or Experian credit-risk products and solutions.
- Experience supporting Financial Services, FinTech, Telecommunications, or Collections organizations.
- Public speaking or conference presentation experience.
- Experience working in a consultative, client-facing, pre-sales, or solutions consulting environment.
