Team Overview
The Solutions Consulting team partners closely with Sales, Product, Analytics, and Technology teams to help clients solve complex business challenges through data, analytics, and credit risk solutions. The team serves as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them optimize growth strategies, improve portfolio performance, and maximize the value of TransUnion products and services. This team plays a critical role in driving revenue growth, supporting product innovation, and strengthening client relationships across multiple industries. The role reports to the SVP, Product Management. This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients by developing credit risk strategies that improve portfolio performance, reduce losses, and support profitable growth.
- Partner with Sales teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while supporting revenue and adoption goals for TransUnion solutions.
- Lead client engagements by translating business challenges into consultative solutions and delivering compelling recommendations, presentations, case studies, and portfolio reviews.
- Provide industry, market, and Voice of Customer insights that influence product strategy, go-to-market planning, and future solution development.
- Demonstrate how TransUnion products, analytics, and credit risk solutions can be applied to optimize business outcomes across Financial Services, Telecommunications, FinTech, and Collections sectors.
- Own commercialization activities for new product initiatives, including opportunity assessment, market activation, client adoption, and revenue growth.
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Product, Marketing, Analytics, Technology, Finance, Legal, and Compliance teams to support solution development and implementation.
- Analyze client portfolios, business performance, and market trends to identify opportunities that improve customer engagement, approval rates, profitability, and risk performance.
- Represent TransUnion as a subject-matter expert through executive presentations, industry events, and client-facing engagements.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Business, Finance, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- 10+ years of experience within Financial Services, with demonstrated accountability across the credit lifecycle, including adjudication, acquisition, portfolio management, and customer account management.
- Deep understanding of Credit Risk principles, portfolio strategies, score usage, and decisioning frameworks used to balance revenue growth and loss mitigation.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to evaluate product profitability, loss provisions, portfolio performance, and overall P&L impact.
- Proven experience influencing senior leaders and clients by translating complex analytics, credit risk concepts, and business challenges into actionable recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, financial analysis, and portfolio performance evaluation.
- Strong presentation development skills using Microsoft PowerPoint with the ability to communicate complex concepts through executive-ready storytelling.
- Experience analyzing and leveraging credit bureau data, risk attributes, scores, and analytical insights to support business strategy decisions.
- Ability to conduct portfolio reviews, business case development, and cost-benefit analysis to support strategic recommendations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage technical, operational, and executive-level audiences.
- Knowledge of TransUnion, Equifax, or Experian credit bureau data and credit risk solutions.
- Experience supporting product commercialization, go-to-market execution, and client adoption strategies.
- Previous consulting, advisory, or client-facing analytics experience within Financial Services or FinTech environments.
- Experience mentoring, coaching, or leading junior consultants and analysts.
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex business challenges through innovative and non-traditional approaches.
