The Role
Job Description: 
In this co-op, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers and scientists developing ceramic additive manufacturing and micro 3D printing technologies. You will support the entire manufacturing process from raw material production and 3D printing of samples to material analysis and mechanical testing. In this role, you will independently execute tasks, learn established protocols for state-of-the-art fabrication, and improve the design, processing and characterization of these novel AM technologies. Position will require frequent technical communication with team members and customers, including oral and written reporting. This position is for the fall of 2024, with a start date as early as June of 2025. 

Essential Duties:
Mix resins and feedstock materials 
Prepare 3D printer, optimize print parameters and operate printer
Perform materials analysis, optical microscopy and mechanical testing
Summarize key findings in written documents and slides

Required Skills:
Applicant should have completed at least 2 years of college. 

Required Education:
Currently pursuing a degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field

Physical Requirements:
Applicant must be capable of working safely in a chemical laboratory and performing extended analysis at computer workstations.

Special Requirements:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is $30 - $35 per hour.
Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
