CodePath is reprogramming higher education to create the first AI-native generation of engineers, CTOs, and founders.
The Role
Own new-logo acquisition for higher education: generate pipeline, run full sales cycles with CS faculty and administrators, close campus partnerships, manage HubSpot pipeline and forecasts, represent CodePath at conferences, and meet quarterly new-partner and enrollment targets. Expect regular travel to events and campus meetings.
Summary Generated by Built In

CodePath is the largest educator of college computer science students in the country. We've trained over 40,000 students from 1,000+ universities, and our partners include Amazon, Google, and other leading technology companies. We've spent nearly a decade training the next generation of technical talent, and we just launched a $150M initiative with Anthropic, building one of the most ambitious AI workforce programs in the world.
We're now expanding into new markets and scaling our team so we can move at the speed AI is transforming the workforce. People joining CodePath now will have the opportunity to help architect the next frontier of our work.
We believe technical skill is the fastest way to turn raw talent into real opportunity. We train the engineers the AI era runs on, building toward millions of learners, hundreds of millions in revenue, and billions in economic impact. If you want to own something and be part of a 0-to-1 journey at an organization moving at the speed of AI, this is the place to build it.

About the Role

Location: Remote, United States

Role Type: Full-Time

Reporting to: Head of Higher Education

Compensation:  $130,000 – $150,000 base plus variable tied to new-partner targets, for a $190,000–$210,000 OTE

You'll own new-partner acquisition for CodePath's entire higher education channel. Tens of thousands of computer science students need our programs to compete in an AI-native workforce, and the limiting factor on our reach is the number of colleges we partner with. You'll grow that network by signing new campus partners, owning new-partner acquisition end to end, from pipeline to signed commitment. Every partner you sign puts CodePath courses in front of hundreds more students who'd otherwise never get them.

You'll build on a real foundation. We've closed around 50 partners, so there are lessons to draw on. From there, the motion, the pipeline, and the pitch are yours to shape and grow. That's ownership of how this channel develops, and the right person is energized by it.

Because our courses are free to institutions, there's no budget line to win. Your job is to sell value: get CS faculty, department chairs, deans, and provosts convinced that adopting CodePath for credit is worth their time and their credibility, then build enough momentum to reach a signed agreement. The urgency is real. Students need these skills now, and the campuses that move first set the standard in their region.

You don't wait for inbound. You work conferences and open doors that were closed. Expect to travel roughly once per quarter.

What you’ll own
  • Generate your own pipeline of net-new for-credit campus partners. You self-source.
  • Run the full partnership cycle end to end: outreach, discovery, program demonstration, and signed agreement.
  • Win over CS faculty and build the internal case from faculty up through chairs, deans, and provosts.
  • Represent CodePath's curriculum, technical rigor, and student outcomes credibly to a technical audience.
  • Shape the playbook, the target account strategy, and the conference approach and then own execution.
  • Work across internal teams (Partnerships, Delivery, Curriculum) to move deals forward and set new partners up to succeed.
  • Use AI fluently across research, outreach, and forecasting
This role may be right for you if

Required

  • You've taken a sales or partnership motion from early stage to real scale. You can point to a starting state and the growth you drove, whether that was the pipeline, the pitch, or the motion itself.
  • You can sell a technical product credibly. You hold your own in a conversation about technical concepts and earn the respect of a technical buyer. A CS degree isn't required. Strong technical sellers and sales engineers are a great fit.
  • Roughly 3 to 5 years originating net-new business in full-cycle sales or business development, with accounts or partners you landed that no one handed you.
  • You do your best work when scope shifts and the playbook isn't written yet.
  • You shift register easily between faculty, administrators, and executive stakeholders.
  • You keep a CRM accurate and forecast from it.
  • You already use AI tools daily to work faster and sharper, and you can show how.
  • You’re committed to CodePath’s mission to advance economic mobility through education

Preferred

  • You've sold or built partnerships into colleges or universities and understand how campus decisions get made.
  • You've sold a free, freemium, or adoption-led motion where no budget forced the decision.
  • You've worked directly with faculty, ideally in computer science or STEM departments.
  • You have a CS degree and/or background in software engineering.
Compensation

CodePath has standardized salaries based on the position's level, no matter where you live. This role is compensated with a competitive base salary plus a performance bonus tied to your new-partner and enrollment targets, paid quarterly. Base salary is determined based on your relevant experience and skills as evaluated through our interview process.

What We Do

We deliver industry-vetted courses and career support centered on the needs of first-generation and low-income students. Our students train with senior engineers, intern at top companies, and rise together to become the tech leaders of tomorrow. Breaking into the tech industry requires a number of factors: industry-relevant knowledge, connections, specific hard and soft skills, an understanding of how to navigate the job search, and the technical interviewing process. Many college CS programs don't have the depth of resources or support needed to practically set students up for career success, like keeping up with the latest industry trends, building employer partnerships, and providing access to critical internships where students can get a foothold in the industry. Even the most well-funded, prestigious programs can have gaps that prevent a comprehensive education.

Why Work With Us

We believe tech excellence can be within reach for anyone given the right resources and the chance to apply them. When you work here, you're helping make that real. If building a more inclusive future of tech alongside bright students, college programs, and top employers sounds like your kind of work, CodePath is the place.
