Leads sourcing and procurement for capital equipment, facilities purchases, services, software, and other indirect materials. Manages RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiations, purchase orders, delivery and installation coordination, supplier performance, issue resolution, documentation, and cost-saving initiatives while partnering with engineering, manufacturing, facilities, finance, and operations.

Performs laboratory, materials, inspection, and quality-control testing throughout solid rocket motor production. Responsibilities include raw-material acceptance, propellant and mechanical testing, equipment operation, final motor inspection, traceability verification, batch-record review, End Item Data Package preparation, discrepancy reporting, equipment maintenance, and safe energetic-material handling. The role supports calibration, nonconformance documentation, manufacturing decisions, and compliance with quality, safety, contamination-control, and hazardous-operations requirements.

Designs and supports aerospace electromechanical hardware, including electrical harnesses, enclosures, brackets, and test equipment components. Responsibilities include 3D modeling, engineering drawings, BOMs, design analysis, harness routing, manufacturing support, troubleshooting, environmental testing, configuration management, and technical documentation. The engineer collaborates with electrical, mechanical, avionics, propulsion, manufacturing, and test teams while supporting rocket engine and defense systems development.

Create and manage purchase orders for manufacturing materials, components, services, equipment, and events. Coordinate supplier deliveries, communicate timelines, negotiate pricing and terms, maintain supplier relationships, support compliance with ITAR/EAR requirements, process supplier agreements, and resolve purchasing issues. Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, Facilities, and Material Control to meet production and project timelines.

Leads clean-sheet design, development campaigns, prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, requirements verification, and design reviews. Creates CAD models and drawings, manages design risks and schedules, supports production scalability and supply-chain planning, resolves hardware discrepancies, and mentors engineers. Requires expertise in solid propulsion, additive manufacturing, structural mechanics, and aerospace design, plus eligibility for a Secret clearance.

Own configuration management workflows for aerospace and defense systems across requirements, MBSE, CAD, and PLM tools. Manage engineering changes, configuration identifiers, revision history, lifecycle states, SysML v2 packages, requirements, ICDs, and product variants. Resolve data integrity and release conflicts while supporting digital-thread integration, model-based deliverables, and quality compliance. Partner with systems engineering, design, manufacturing, program management, quality, and customer integration teams.

Coordinate virtual and onsite interviews, manage candidate communications and travel, maintain ATS data (Greenhouse), support recruiting events, reporting, documentation, and employer branding while ensuring confidentiality and a seamless candidate experience.

Design, analyze, integrate, and test propulsion and fluid-mechanical vehicle components from concept through flight demonstration. Support rapid hardware development, prototype assembly, test execution, failure investigations, DFM, and cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing, analysis, and customers.

Performs electrical, dimensional, visual, and automated inspections of aerospace parts and subassemblies. Reviews supplier documentation, records inspection results, authors discrepancy reports, and supports equipment calibration and maintenance. The role ensures compliance with drawings, GD&T, aerospace standards, and regulated manufacturing requirements while mentoring junior inspectors and collaborating with manufacturing, planning, and quality teams.

Design and develop turbopump components and assemblies for aerospace propulsion systems. Responsibilities include clean-sheet design, performance and manufacturability improvements, root-cause analysis, requirements verification, cross-functional collaboration with manufacturing and test teams, and prototype assembly support. The role also contributes to turbomachinery testing, analysis, CAD modeling, drawing creation, and design for additive manufacturing.

Owns the Master Production Schedule and converts demand into capacity-feasible supply plans for an aerospace propulsion segment. Responsibilities include releasing and maintaining manufacturing orders, running MRP, managing planning parameters and inventory strategies, resolving shortages, balancing capacity, supporting SIOP reviews, developing demand forecasts, analyzing risks and KPIs, and mentoring junior planners. The role requires cross-functional collaboration with procurement, manufacturing, engineering, materials control, sales, and program management.

Owns Ursa Major’s SEC reporting function, leading preparation and filing of 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, and related disclosures. The role manages MD&A, footnotes, XBRL tagging, U.S. GAAP and SEC compliance, technical accounting matters, internal reporting controls, process improvement, and disclosure systems. It collaborates with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, Investor Relations, auditors, and executive leadership while supporting board and audit committee reporting.

Provides front desk coverage, greets and screens visitors, manages Envoy visitor check-in, badging, mail, office supplies, and snacks. Supports the Office Coordinator and assists with Longmont office events. The role requires administrative experience, record keeping, Microsoft Office knowledge, physical lifting ability, and eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.

Leads mechanical design, kinematic and structural analysis, integration, material selection, testing, and verification of movable thrust-vectoring nozzles for solid rocket motors. Coordinates EMA and sensor suppliers, presents technical maturity and risk data at program milestones, and supports static and flight-test qualification. Requires extensive rocket propulsion and movable nozzle/TVC experience, advanced CAD and FEA familiarity, and eligibility for a DoD Secret clearance.

Supports supplier qualification, Approved Vendor List maintenance, technical documentation review, discrepancy reporting, deviation and waiver requests, corrective actions, and supplier RMAs. Coordinates with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to ensure supplier compliance, traceability, and timely resolution of hardware and documentation issues. Also assists with purchase order tracking, data maintenance, reporting, and process documentation.

Builds, assembles, troubleshoots, and tests avionics hardware including sensors, actuators, wire harnesses, instrumentation, and engine control systems. Interprets engineering drawings and schematics, performs precision electro-mechanical assembly and root-cause analysis, documents test and inspection results, and ensures compliance with aerospace standards, ESD, FOD, safety, and cleanroom protocols. Collaborates with engineers on manufacturability, assembly improvements, and design validation.
