Represents Texas Mutual in Texas workers’ compensation Benefit Review Conferences and Contested Case Hearings. Reviews claim files, explains company positions, negotiates dispute resolutions, requests hearings, schedules proceedings, prepares and files reports, uploads claim documents, communicates outcomes, and trains adjusters on dispute-resolution claim handling.

Conduct complex workers’ compensation premium audits by analyzing financial records, evaluating business operations, applying NCCI and Texas rules, and determining exposure and earned premiums. Provide technical guidance and education, develop audit procedures, and identify suspected fraud. Support investigations through premium-loss estimates, depositions, and expert testimony. This Texas-based field role serves the Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and other areas as needed, requiring travel to policyholders.

Build and maintain data environments in AWS and Snowflake by identifying, preparing, manipulating, and modeling structured and unstructured datasets. Evaluate datasets for reporting and modeling, use data preparation tools such as Coalesce, resolve data quality issues, and advise stakeholders on data systems and concepts.

Develops automated dashboards, recurring reports, interactive data applications, and AI-powered analytics tools. Performs complex data analysis, validates data quality, translates business requirements into technical solutions, communicates insights through visualizations and presentations, supports self-service analytics and predictive modeling, and mentors entry-level team members.

Lead DevSecOps initiatives: design and implement IaC with Terraform, build secure CI/CD/CT pipelines (AzDO/Jenkins), automate deployments to AWS (ECS), implement observability and security scanning, mentor teams, and drive platform engineering and cloud adoption.

Conduct on-site premium audits to determine earned workers' compensation premium by reviewing payroll, classifications, contracts, and financial records; reconcile payroll and classifications, apply Texas/NCCI rules, identify fraud, communicate findings, and provide training and subject-matter expertise for senior auditors.

Design, deploy, and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC and automation. Optimize performance, ensure security and compliance, implement backup and disaster recovery, support CI/CD and cloud-native deployments, troubleshoot issues, lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and create documentation and runbooks.

Supervise daily processing of catastrophic workers' compensation claims under Texas law and DWC rules. Manage staff, recruit and coach employees, ensure quality and compliance, oversee budgets, procedures, and a caseload including TIB, IIB, SIB, LIB, and death benefit claims.
