Team FAQs

What's it like to work in Sales at Rula?

Sales at Rula brings together several teams with one shared goal: helping more patients start care. Depending on the team, that might mean building relationships with primary care practices, growing existing partnerships, working with employers, or developing partnerships with health plans and health systems.

Our Account Executives own the full sales process, from territory strategy and prospecting to discovery and relationship building. Once a partner is up and running, Account Managers and Partner Success teams focus on strengthening those relationships and expanding adoption. Across the Commercial organization, teams like Health Plans, Employer, PCP, Provider Sales, and RevOps work together to turn partnerships into meaningful patient access.

What's the Sales leadership like at Rula?

Our Sales leaders are hands-on, focused on outcomes, and committed to helping their teams grow. Grounded in Radical Candor, their approach emphasizes direct, thoughtful feedback through regular coaching, call reviews, and 1:1s. Team members are also empowered to take ownership of their goals, performance, and development, creating an environment where expectations are clear, support is available, and people are encouraged to keep getting better.

What's the culture like in Sales at Rula?

Culture on Rula’s Sales team combines high expectations with genuine connection and plenty of fun. We celebrate great work through peer recognition, All-Hands shoutouts, and our annual Commercial Kickoff, while individual teams create their own traditions, friendly competitions, and virtual events. We take our goals seriously without taking ourselves too seriously, creating a culture where people can work toward ambitious goals, celebrate each other, and have fun along the way.

What's the career growth like in Sales at Rula?

Career growth on Rula’s Sales team is flexible and personalized. Our career frameworks provide clear expectations at each level, while self-assessments and regular conversations with managers help team members identify the skills they want to strengthen and build development plans around their goals. Growth can take many forms, whether that means deepening your expertise, moving into leadership, finding a mentor, or exploring opportunities across the broader Commercial organization.

What training and learning resources does Rula offer its Sales team?

Learning is built into the way our Sales team works. Reps have access to AI-powered coaching tools for practicing conversations and receiving real-time feedback, along with Enablement Sprints to keep their skills and product knowledge sharp on a monthly basis. Call reviews, shadowing, targeted development sprints, and manager coaching provide additional opportunities to build skills and focus on individual growth areas.

Rula Employee Perspectives

"I believe leadership starts with creating space for others to step forward. I encourage those on my team to take on visible projects, share their expertise cross-functionally and embrace calculated risks — even when they don’t feel 100 percent ready.

One example that stands out is a team member who was hesitant to lead a major client initiative because she felt she didn’t yet have the “right” experience. By working together to frame the project as a stretch opportunity and supporting her behind the scenes, she not only delivered successfully but also grew into a confident leader for others.

For me, the goal is to help women see that leadership is not about being the smartest person in the room — it’s about listening, learning and building strong relationships that move the ball forward."

Nicole Wolfe
Nicole Wolfe, VP of B2B Sales & Account Management

"The most exciting part of our strategy is our mission: “Make Mental Healthcare work for everyone.” Whether it’s patients, payers, providers, physicians, employers or partners, everyone’s work converges on one single goal — helping people who need care get it easily and seamlessly.

We hold ourselves to a rigorous standard. If the work we’re doing doesn’t ultimately support helping the next person get the care they need, we take a step back and re-evaluate how it fits into our strategy and daily focus. To prove we are delivering on this, the primary metrics we track to show progress toward execution are directly tied to new and existing patients supported and what’s holding us back from delivering the care. Tracking this ensures we aren’t just talking about our mission, but actively delivering the highest quality of care to as many patients as possible."

Employee Reviews

Jordan Robinson

Jordan Robinson, Healthcare Partnerships Manager

"In my role, I love getting to work both in-person and remotely with providers across the country to improve access to this critical care. Time and distance don't stop when mental health is in play. Being able to connect regardless has really deepened our impact within practices and health systems to ensure patients get the care they deserve. What I enjoy most about working here is the amazing balance of autonomy and teamwork. I have the ability to curate my book of business as an individual contributor, but I know I always have a massive team of support behind me. There is so much collaboration that occurs every day, and the interconnected system Rula has established genuinely makes a big difference."

Greyson Landry

Greyson Landry, Provider Account Executive 2

"I lost my dad when I was 17, and therapy was exactly what helped me work through the anxiety and self-doubt that came after. Because of that, I know firsthand what it feels like to need the right person in your corner. That personal connection drives what I love most about my role. Every single time I log on, I know I'm doing work that genuinely helps people who are out there looking for support. I get to help providers start and grow their practices without any of the heavy administrative lifting on their end. We give them the opportunity to build a career they're proud of and make a real income, all so they can focus entirely on what matters most: helping their patients."

AI-Powered Sales Copilots ("Gems")
AI-Powered Sales Copilots ("Gems") Image
As part of Rula’s investment in AI, our Sales team helped design and launch custom AI assistants built directly into the sales workflow. These include a research tool that gathers key information about prospective practices before a call, a coaching tool that lets reps rehearse discovery conversations and receive instant feedback, and a meeting-prep assistant that brings together the information reps need before a pitch.

Direct Booking Tool

Our Direct Booking Tool gives patients a simpler way to schedule directly with a Rula provider instead of relying on traditional referral methods like fax. The tool has driven 10 to 15% higher patient conversion than traditional referral paths and has already scaled to support 100 agents for one of our health plan partners.

Mutual Action Plan Framework

Our Employer team developed a structured engagement model designed to turn signed partnerships into actual employee utilization. The framework maps out key moments and communication channels throughout the first year of a partnership, helping employers consistently connect employees with the Rula benefit available to them.

Salesforce 2.0

Our RevOps and frontline Sales teams partnered on a major rebuild of Rula’s CRM and sales tooling. The goal was simple: reduce friction in the day-to-day sales process, make it easier for reps to focus on selling and relationship building, and give leaders better real-time visibility into pipeline health.
