Designs, implements, and maintains industrial automation and process control systems at a highly automated steel manufacturing plant. Supports steelmaking and rolling-mill operations while providing maintenance assistance and emergency on-call support.

Inspect, repair, install, adjust, align, lubricate, and maintain mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing facility. The millwright responds to scheduled and emergency breakdowns, diagnoses equipment defects, determines repair methods, advises on shutdowns, and performs temporary or permanent repairs. Rotating day and night shifts are required, along with a Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Certificate and successful pre-employment screening.

Use statistical tools (SPC, DOE) and Lean/Six Sigma methods to analyze quality KPIs, lead cross-functional improvement projects, run optimization trials, and implement process-control documentation and training. Support cost-savings justification and attend industry conferences.

Develop and maintain production schedules aligned with demand, coordinate with operations, logistics and sales, produce production reports, manage raw material ordering, report variances and support planning adjustments to meet project deadlines.

Manage execution of line pipe project orders including invoicing, collections, reconciliations, supplier invoice processing, cost tracking, documentation, and process improvements while liaising between Sales, customers, and internal stakeholders.

Manage day-to-day AP and AR teams, ensuring timely invoicing and vendor payments, handling escalations and investigations, supporting audits, completing month-end journal entries and reconciliations, identifying training needs, and contributing to corporate projects.

Support finance and operations by managing monthly close activities (journal entries, reconciliations) per IFRS, prepare forecasts and annual operating plans using Hyperion EPBCS, build and maintain financial models, analyze variances versus forecasts/plans, and provide actionable financial recommendations to operations leadership.
