Supports mechanical engineering and capital projects in a steel manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include managing smaller projects, assisting with larger initiatives, creating CAD designs and technical documentation, performing engineering calculations, preparing estimates, coordinating contractors and installations, troubleshooting equipment, maintaining asset records, and supporting reliability and continuous improvement efforts.

Designs, implements, and maintains industrial automation and process control systems at a highly automated steel manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include PLC and HMI improvements, control-system architecture, production and equipment optimization, performance monitoring, troubleshooting, systems integration, technical specifications, and project management. Supports steelmaking and rolling-mill operations while providing maintenance assistance and emergency on-call support.

Inspect, repair, install, adjust, align, lubricate, and maintain mechanical equipment in an industrial manufacturing facility. The millwright responds to scheduled and emergency breakdowns, diagnoses equipment defects, determines repair methods, advises on shutdowns, and performs temporary or permanent repairs. Rotating day and night shifts are required, along with a Red Seal or Alberta Journeyman Certificate and successful pre-employment screening.
