Provide direct patient care in an IMCU setting: assess patients, administer medications, carry out and evaluate provider orders, document care, and communicate with the care team while following hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Manage tracking, review, and follow-up of outstanding patient accounts across payers. Contact insurers and patients, file primary/secondary/tertiary claims, research denials/rejections, post payments and denials electronically/manual batches, reconcile deposits, process adjustments/refunds, and monitor Medicare/Medicaid RAC accounts to ensure timely payer payments.

Assign accurate, timely medical codes by abstracting paper and electronic records using ICD-9/ICD-10/HCPCS/CPT. Collect and analyze diagnoses and procedures per compliance and severity-of-illness documentation standards.

Must hold current NC RN license, graduate of an accredited nursing program, current BLS, and meet unit-specific certification requirements (ACLS, NIH). One year of clinical experience required for charge responsibilities.

Provide direct neonatal patient care including assessment, medication administration, executing provider orders, evaluating effects, documenting care, and communicating with the care team while following hospital policies and accreditation standards.

Coordinate patient placement across hospital units, manage bed utilization, support staff scheduling, oversee admissions and discharges, and make decisions during high-volume or complex placement situations to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.
