Supports the Director with delegated tasks, orients and evaluates students and new staff, and provides direct patient care across all ages and conditions. Ensures care follows hospital policies and accreditation standards; maintains required certifications and training.

Provides direct patient care according to individualized care plans, physician orders, and nursing department policies. Supports patients’ psychological and physical needs. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing school, an active North Carolina LPN license, BLS certification, basic EKG competency within 90 days, and NCI certification within 90 days. No prior experience is required.

Provides basic and advanced respiratory care to neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Implements, evaluates, and documents treatment effectiveness; educates patients and families; cleans and maintains respiratory equipment; performs 12-lead EKGs; and completes other assigned clinical duties.
