Defends insureds in Florida property, bodily injury, and construction defect litigation from pretrial through post-trial resolution. Responsibilities include developing litigation strategies, managing pleadings, motions, discovery and depositions, meeting carrier reporting requirements, collaborating with claims teams and clients, and analyzing case performance.

Provides litigation support to staff counsel handling insurance defense matters involving construction defect, property, bodily injury, and general liability claims in Florida. Responsibilities include legal research, drafting pleadings and correspondence, managing discovery, tracking subpoenas and deadlines, summarizing project records, coordinating litigation vendors, maintaining case databases, and assisting with trial preparation.

Supports the development, enhancement, implementation, and maintenance of commercial lines insurance products, including forms, rules, rating plans, documentation, and state filings. Analyzes product performance, market trends, and competitive intelligence; prepares recommendations; tracks regulatory approvals; translates business requirements into technical specifications; participates in system configuration reviews, prioritization, and user acceptance testing.

Manages relationships with assigned insurance agency partners, serving as their primary advisor and coordinating with internal teams. Develops account plans, conducts business reviews, supports onboarding, identifies growth and retention opportunities, educates agencies on products and processes, resolves escalated issues, maintains CRM records, and tracks performance objectives related to profitable premium growth, engagement, retention, and satisfaction.

Develops and maintains insurance pricing and predictive models, analyzes premiums, losses, claims, and exposure data, evaluates profitability and emerging risks, supports rate filings and actuarial analyses, and delivers recommendations to leadership. The role also ensures data integrity, prepares financial reporting, automates workflows, and collaborates with product, actuarial, and business teams to improve pricing strategies and operational efficiency.

Adjust and resolve low- to moderately-complex commercial general liability claims, including litigated matters. Investigate coverage, evaluate damages, negotiate settlements, manage litigation with defense counsel, retain experts, maintain reserves, document activity, and communicate with insureds, claimants, attorneys, and internal teams to close files efficiently and compliantly.

Provide administrative support to the General Liability claims team: perform claim intake, review TPA systems for legal invoice payments, update claim and policy records, handle calls and emails, manage mail and large file links, compile reports, escalate issues to management, and back up claims administrative staff. Maintain accurate electronic timeclock entries.

Performs virtual and hybrid premium audits for workers’ compensation and general liability policyholders. Reviews payroll, financial records, business operations, classifications, and policy documentation to calculate auditable exposures and premium adjustments. Prepares audit workpapers and reports, communicates findings to insureds, agents, and internal teams, ensures compliance with insurance regulations, and maintains audit procedures while tracking regulatory and classification changes.

Manage mid-to-large commercial property & casualty accounts: qualify new business, prepare submissions, market accounts to carriers, coordinate renewals, handle endorsements/certificates, support sales activities, maintain records, and build client and carrier relationships while ensuring compliance and timely communication.

The Commercial Lines Underwriting Assistant processes business submissions, interacts with agents, and supports underwriting tasks and administrative duties while ensuring data accuracy.
