Designs, develops, validates, and deploys computer vision and AI solutions for automated inspection, defect detection, process monitoring, and predictive maintenance in manufacturing plants. Integrates cameras, sensors, lighting, edge devices, and manufacturing equipment; leads proof-of-concept development, global deployments, vendor partnerships, documentation, and standardization. Engages plant and business stakeholders across regions to define priorities, develop roadmaps, and scale solutions.

Supports Optima marketing, consumer insights, product development, and launch initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating campaigns and marketing assets, researching consumers and competitors, analyzing voice-of-customer feedback, supporting product concept evaluation and commercialization, and preparing competitive recommendations. Partners with marketing, product management, sales, engineering, and agency teams in a hybrid summer internship.

Operate automated and semi-automated machines to manufacture automotive batteries. Perform minor adjustments, equipment troubleshooting, operator-level preventive maintenance, visual inspections, quality checks, and production recordkeeping. Coordinates industrial maintenance operations, supervisors, technicians, contractors, schedules, backlog, materials, and maintenance KPIs. Ensures preventive and predictive maintenance execution, equipment reliability, CMMS data quality, safety compliance, and effective resource utilization. Leads teams during major shutdowns, startups, and commissioning projects while coordinating with Production to minimize operational impacts. Requires an engineering degree, more than four years of industrial maintenance experience, utilities experience, maintenance leadership, advanced English, and knowledge of TPM, RCM, RCA, LOTO, and work permits.

Leads requirements analysis for vehicle battery products, including gathering, decomposing, reconciling, tracing, validating, and verifying customer and safety requirements. Coordinates cross-functional engineering projects, supports RFQ/RFI activities, standards compliance, product performance predictions, and requirements sign-off. Anticipates next-generation needs and mentors engineering team members on requirements processes and tools.

Develop and execute global procurement and sourcing strategies across materials, electronics, contract manufacturing, equipment, tooling, and services. Manage strategic suppliers, lead RFQ/RFP processes and negotiations, drive cost reduction and value engineering, assess market and supply risks, and implement dual-sourcing and continuity plans. Partner cross-functionally on new product introductions, manufacturing expansions, localization, sustainability, and supply-chain resilience while preparing financial analyses and executive recommendations.

Supervise manufacturing operations, production scheduling, material ordering, inventory control, and union personnel. Ensure safety, quality, environmental, budget, and production targets are met while maintaining accurate bills of materials and production records. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments, resolve schedule and supply issues, train and evaluate employees, monitor performance metrics, and apply Lean, Six Sigma, and 5S continuous-improvement practices.

Supports the implementation and standardization of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) across new production lines. Responsibilities include creating and updating equipment care documentation, developing visual aids and procedures, collaborating with cross-functional teams, tracking operational standards, and contributing to continuous improvement, equipment reliability, and performance.

Build relationships with regional leadership and retail contacts, promote automotive battery sales, support merchandising and POS compliance, train store associates, oversee testing protocols, conduct installation sales calls, and attend trade shows and sales events. The role is remote but requires extensive travel, up to 75% within the assigned territory and nationally.

Supports a manufacturing process-variable project by identifying, configuring, validating, and maintaining server TAGs; organizing SQL database tables; validating data quality; and documenting process variables and database structures. The role improves process-data historization, accessibility, and reliability for analytics, continuous improvement, and operational optimization initiatives.

Lead regional automation efforts by researching and implementing manufacturing technologies, designing and prototyping automated systems, performing tests and troubleshooting, standardizing equipment, ensuring functional safety and environmental compliance, documenting and training teams, and managing projects within timelines and budgets. Requires frequent regional travel.

Provides global technical expertise for lead-acid battery formation chemical conversion processes across development, launch, production, and recycling. Leads process optimization, materials and electrochemistry testing, design of experiments, failure analysis, automotive product launches, validation, quality problem solving, DFMEA reviews, design guideline updates, and knowledge sharing across plants, suppliers, and customers. Requires frequent travel between Monterrey and other sites.

Supports training and certification processes for production personnel by creating audiovisual materials, documenting manufacturing procedures, developing onboarding and recertification guides, analyzing feedback and training metrics, and contributing to continuous improvement. The role collaborates with operations and training teams to standardize learning materials and improve workforce capability, employee development, and operator certification effectiveness in a plant environment.

Develops and optimizes D2C marketing initiatives across service centers, home delivery, e-commerce, marketplaces, and contact centers. Manages promotions, local marketing, digital traffic generation, agencies, suppliers, budgets, and channel-development projects. Analyzes sales, profitability, campaign ROI, and KPIs to recommend improvements and build business cases. Creates scalable processes, playbooks, and tools while coordinating cross-functional implementation and enhancing customer value propositions.

Data Science Interns will partner with experienced team members to translate business challenges into analytical questions. They will learn and apply data preparation, exploratory analysis, feature engineering, forecasting, classification, anomaly detection, machine learning, and generative AI techniques using tools such as Python, SQL, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Matillion, and Power BI. The role includes presenting findings, collaborating with technical and business teams, participating in mentorship, and learning the end-to-end delivery of data science projects.

Develops and implements reliability engineering and maintenance strategies for critical plant assets. Analyzes failure and performance data, leads root cause investigations, optimizes preventive and predictive maintenance, manages spare-parts and lifecycle strategies, and tracks reliability KPIs. The role supports tooling maintenance, drives TPM and continuous improvement initiatives, maintains technical documentation, evaluates equipment obsolescence, and ensures compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and maintenance standards.

Supports international logistics and supply chain coordination by tracking shipments, inventory, delivery timelines, and transportation costs. Analyzes logistics data using Excel or Power BI, prepares customs and trade documentation, coordinates with vendors and carriers, assists with cost-reduction and process-improvement initiatives, and presents performance reports to management. The internship also involves supporting supply chain technology systems and collaborating with procurement, sales, trade compliance, and other cross-functional teams.
