Supports quarterly VM-22 annuity valuation through reserve production, reconciliation, modeling, validation, testing, reporting, sensitivity analysis, and documentation. Investigates reserve changes, evaluates assumptions and model enhancements, maintains analytical tools, and supports regulatory and business changes. Partners with Actuarial, Finance, Investments, Product, Risk, and Technology teams to ensure accurate, controlled valuation results.

Develops, deploys, monitors, and supports production machine learning and AI applications. Responsibilities include building Python services, APIs, data and feature pipelines, MLOps workflows, generative AI and agent-based solutions, and integrations with enterprise systems. The role applies software engineering, cloud, security, governance, observability, and responsible AI practices while collaborating with data science, engineering, architecture, security, DevOps, and business teams. This is an onsite position in Des Moines.

Supports financial advisors and wholesaling teams with annuity product questions, pre- and post-sale service, inbound and outbound calls, prospecting, lead generation, event promotion, marketing campaigns, and relationship management. Maintains knowledge of products, procedures, systems, and financial industry trends while meeting call-quality and productivity metrics. Requires strong communication, customer service, organization, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

Supports Eagle Life wholesaling teams through advisor list segmentation, illustration and pre-sale requests, marketing campaigns, market research, collateral updates, and sales opportunity analysis. The intern learns annuity products, collaborates with Marketing, National Accounts, and Customer Excellence teams, uses CRM and related software, and presents project outcomes to stakeholders. This is a 10–12 week, in-person internship in Des Moines with mentorship and cross-functional project work.

Supports investment accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, loan accounting, investment disclosures, financial analysis, audit support, and ad hoc reporting. Configure, maintain, and optimize annuity products within policy administration systems. Translate business requirements into accurate system configurations, perform impact analysis and testing, ensure regulatory compliance, troubleshoot issues, document changes, and support product launches and enhancements. The Product Counsel provides legal advice focused on annuity product development, distribution, and operations, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Supports actuarial functions for deferred annuity products, including modeling, pricing, valuation, reserve calculations, reporting, rate setting, and policy calculator enhancement. Interns use Milliman Integrate, Excel, SQL, R, Python, and Tableau to validate calculations, analyze policyholder data, and develop management reports.
