The Open Source Engineer will expand LanceDB's integration with big data systems, manage dataset operations, and enhance open-source community efforts.

Lead hands-on architecture, development, deployment, and optimization of enterprise GenAI, RAG, Agentic AI, and Neo4j Knowledge Graph solutions. Build data pipelines, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native AI infrastructure; rapidly deliver customer POCs and production systems. Serve as the primary technical interface for enterprise clients, troubleshooting performance, scalability, reliability, and cost issues while providing technical consulting.

Design and build a scalable Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Kubernetes and cloud-native services, improve CI/CD and DX, enforce platform governance and security, lead MLOps/LLM infrastructure, mentor engineers, and align platform roadmap with product goals.

Responsibilities include developing risk frameworks, structuring insurance programs, preparing underwriting submissions, negotiating insurance and indemnity terms in EPC and financing agreements, managing claims and loss prevention, supporting M&A insurance diligence, and advising executives on emerging risks, severe weather, coverage, budgets, and lender compliance.

Owns strategy, financial performance, growth, retention, implementation, and executive relationships for high-value national home-services accounts. Leads cross-functional teams, manages forecasts and budgets, develops strategic account plans using Miller Heiman methodology, oversees marketing optimization and complex launches, conducts business reviews, and drives renewals, expansions, profitability, and long-term partner value.

Coordinate end-to-end testing across SAP applications and integrated enterprise systems. Administer Panaya Test Management, create test plans and cases, manage SIT, UAT, regression, integration, and interface testing, and coordinate schedules, resources, environments, defects, and resolution activities. Provide testing metrics, status reports, risks, and issues to project leadership while collaborating with SAP teams, business users, technical teams, and third-party application teams. Fluency in Spanish and English is required.

Coordinates material management and site inventory for renewable energy construction projects. Oversees domestic and global transportation, delivery schedules, vendor communications, receiving documentation, inventory tracking, and daily reporting. Serves as liaison between project sites, procurement, buyers, construction teams, suppliers, and owner representatives. The role requires relocation to project sites for 8–15 months, 50–60-hour workweeks, a valid driver’s license, and strong inventory and material management knowledge.

Supports customs, import/export, RMA, procurement, shipping, and customer due diligence workflows. Reviews trade documentation, assists with HTS classification and country-of-origin records, conducts restricted-party screening, evaluates export-control facts and red flags, and supports export license applications. Coordinates with brokers, freight forwarders, logistics, procurement, supply chain, sales, and internal stakeholders while maintaining compliance records and escalating issues.
