Lead the technical direction, architecture, and delivery of production agentic AI systems. Build AI platform abstractions, agent workflows, evaluation and guardrail infrastructure, cloud-native services, and operational tooling using TypeScript/Node.js and Python. Own deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and measurable outcomes while partnering with product, clinical operations, and business leaders. Mentor engineers, establish reusable patterns, communicate architectural trade-offs, and ensure privacy, security, compliance, reliability, safety, and cost controls for sensitive healthcare data.

Build and maintain scalable data platforms, pipelines, observability metrics, metadata-driven solutions, data transformations, and third-party integrations. Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to deliver timely, accurate data and meaningful insights. Responsibilities include optimizing transformations, implementing infrastructure as code, and administering or tuning Snowflake environments.

Leads Bernalillo County’s IT Applications Group and Project Management Team. Directs strategic planning, budgeting, staffing, vendor procurement, technology projects, quality assurance, and operational standards. Manages multiple projects across scope, budget, timelines, risks, and resources while ensuring compliance and stakeholder alignment. Supervises, mentors, and evaluates project managers and other staff, promotes Agile or Waterfall best practices, presents status reports, and drives continuous process improvement.
