About RethinkFirst

RethinkFirst is a leading behavioral health technology company working to make mental wellness, education, and support accessible and scalable. Through our suite of cloud-based platforms—including RethinkEd, RethinkCare, and RethinkBH—we serve educators, employers, and providers with tools that deliver measurable, inclusive outcomes.

We're on a mission to make behavioral health more effective, equitable, and human.

About the Role

Rethink is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Alliances to build brokers and benefits consultants into a scalable, measurable revenue channel. This leader will own Rethink's strategy and relationships across the benefits consulting ecosystem, with a focus on leading national and regional firms including Aon, WTW, Mercer, Gallagher, NFP, USI and Alliant.

The mandate is straightforward: increase Rethink's visibility and advocacy within the broker community and turn those relationships into qualified employer introductions, pipeline and revenue.

This is a commercial role. Success will be measured not simply by relationships or activity, but by broker-sourced and broker-influenced growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the broker growth strategy: Develop and execute a national broker and consultant GTM strategy, prioritizing the firms, offices, practices and individual consultants with the greatest revenue potential.

  • Generate pipeline and revenue: Create a predictable flow of employer introductions and opportunities from broker relationships. Own targets for broker-sourced and broker-influenced pipeline and revenue.

  • Build broker advocacy: Develop relationships with national practice leaders, Centers of Excellence, regional leaders, consultants and producers who can actively recommend Rethink to their employer clients.

  • Expand strategic access: Turn individual relationships into broader institutional relationships within priority firms, leveraging existing customers, partners and internal champions to expand Rethink's reach.

  • Partner with Sales: Map brokers and consultants to Rethink customers, prospects and target accounts, and create coordinated strategies to gain access to and influence employer buying decisions.

  • Own broker marketplaces and intelligence: Maximize Rethink's presence on platforms such as Shortlister and leverage tools such as BenefitFlow and Salesforce to identify consultants, map relationships and prioritize outreach. Coordinate broker RFIs and ensure Rethink's profiles, product information and collateral remain current.

  • Activate brokers through events and marketing: Partner with Sales and Marketing on consultant outreach, conferences, executive events, co-sponsored programs and targeted campaigns designed to deepen relationships and create opportunities.

  • Strengthen Rethink's market position: Equip consultants with compelling reasons to recommend Rethink through customer outcomes, shared client relationships, global capabilities, product innovation and demonstrated economic value.

  • Own partner relations: Work with carrier partners to generate pipeline and revenue through Rethink's most important market channels.

  • Establish market partnerships: Build partnerships with behavioral health and mental health partners to ensure Rethink's neurodiversity support is complemented by other critical forms of care.

Measures of Success

Success will be measured through:

  • Broker-sourced and broker-influenced pipeline

  • Closed revenue sourced or influenced by brokers

  • Qualified employer introductions

  • Growth in active broker advocates recommending Rethink

  • Penetration within priority brokerage firms and markets

  • Strategic partnerships and preferred-vendor relationships

  • Broker engagement with Rethink events and campaigns

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of experience in employee benefits, benefits consulting, healthcare, behavioral health, wellbeing or a related industry, with strong existing relationships across the benefits brokerage ecosystem.

They understand how influence works inside large, decentralized brokerage firms and have demonstrated an ability to turn strategic relationships into employer access and revenue. They combine the network and credibility of a benefits-industry insider with the commercial orientation and accountability of a sales leader.

The goal isn't simply for more brokers to know Rethink. It's for more brokers to recommend Rethink—and for those recommendations to become revenue.

Skills Required

  • 10+ years experience in employee benefits, benefits consulting, healthcare, behavioral health, wellbeing, or related industry
  • Strong existing relationships across national and regional benefits brokerage firms (e.g., Aon, WTW, Mercer, Gallagher, NFP, USI, Alliant)
  • Proven ability to turn broker relationships into qualified employer introductions, pipeline and closed revenue
  • Experience developing and executing national broker and consultant GTM strategies, prioritizing firms, offices and practices
  • Experience partnering with Sales and Marketing to map brokers to customers, coordinate outreach, and activate channels
  • Familiarity with broker marketplaces and intelligence tools and platforms (Shortlister, BenefitFlow) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • Experience building strategic partnerships with carriers and behavioral/mental health partners
  • Commercial orientation with accountability for broker-sourced and broker-influenced revenue targets
