Job Family Definition:

Provides support and/or lead teams through the Engineering development process and implementation of company’s products. Projects are typically shorter-term, less complex and more contained with a defined time frame. Programs are typically longer-term, multi-functional, multi-project with complex requirements and effort. Manage activities, resource capability, schedules, budgets, and ensure cross company communications to facilitate product completion on schedule within budget. Work with engineering management to identify and improve process and program efficiencies. Work can involve external parties such as standards bodies, partners, etc.

Management Level Definition:

Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities in solving common and complex business/technical issues within established policies. Manages exempt individual contributors and/or supervisors. Has accountability for results of a major program in terms of cost, direction and people management. Provides guidance on process improvements and recommends changes in alignment with business tactics and strategy for area of responsibility. Plans, manages and monitors operational/tactical activities of Staff. Staff members' work may involve strategic issues. Recruits and supports development of direct staff members. Typically reports to MG2 or Director. 
Additional guidance/criteria: Manages and controls activities within a single country or a sub-region which is part of a larger geographical Region; Manages at least 4 employees and typically between 8 and 15 direct reports. Span of Control guidelines may differ from these numbers.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct and ongoing leadership for a team of individual contributors coordinating, managing, and leading programs to drive the engineering development and implementation of products and service offerings.
  • Manages headcount, deliverables, schedules, and costs for multiple ongoing projects, ensuring that resources are appropriately allocated and that goals, objectives, timelines, and budgets are met in accordance with program and organizational roadmaps.
  • Communicates project status and escalates issues to direct managers, program managers, and internal and external development partners.
  • Manages relationships with outsourced partners and suppliers, including setting expectations regarding deliverables, product quality, schedules, and costs; ensures that team members are effectively communicating and collaborating with outsourced resources.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities for process improvement and cost reductions opportunities.
  • Provides people-care management for assigned team members, including hiring, setting and monitoring of annual performance plans,coaching, and career development; ensures that proper knowledge and career development tools are in place to support ongoing team member and process development.

Specific to Trusted Supply Chain

  • Lead and manage a global team responsible for all Trusted Supply Chain activities related to counterfeit investigations, Lab EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) compliance, and customer security inquiries.
  • Counterfeit response processes, including intake, investigation, root cause analysis, mitigation, and coordination with internal stakeholders
  • Provide managerial oversight for Lab EU CRA readiness and execution, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and documented controls across hardware, firmware, and software supply chain activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Trusted Supply Chain processes, tooling, and documentation to improve efficiency, consistency, and audit readiness.
  • Represent the Trusted Supply Chain organization in internal reviews, executive briefings, and external discussions as needed.

Education and Experience Required:

  • First level university degree or equivalent experience required.
  • May have advanced university degree.
  • PMP/PMI certification preferred.
  • Typically 5 or more years of related work experience, including 0 -2 years of people management experience.

  • Strong leadership skills, including coaching, team-building, and conflict resolution.
  • Advanced project management skills including time and risk management, resource prioritization, and project structuring.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.

  • Proven experience leading teams in supply chain security, product security, regulatory compliance, or cybersecurity operations.
  • Strong understanding of counterfeit risk, supply chain assurance, and product authenticity controls in a global manufacturing and logistics environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks impacting product security and supply chains, such as EU CRA, NIS2, or similar cybersecurity regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage customer‑facing technical or security inquiries, including translating complex topics into clear, defensible responses.
