Job Description:

This position is for an existing vacancy. All interested candidates are encouraged to apply.

This is a growth-oriented seller role focused on acquiring new business, developing white-space accounts, and expanding HPE Networking's presence across the Ontario Public Sector. The successful candidate will combine disciplined business development with consultative selling, strong partner engagement, and executive-level customer relationships to create qualified pipeline and win new logos.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute territory and account plans that prioritize new-logo acquisition, white-space penetration, and sustainable pipeline creation across Ontario Public Sector accounts.
  • Proactively identify, prospect, and qualify new opportunities across priority public-sector segments, including government, healthcare, education, municipalities, public safety, utilities, and transit.
  • Build a repeatable business-development motion using targeted outreach, customer events, marketing leads, referrals, and partner-led prospecting to open new accounts and create opportunities earlier in the sales cycle.
  • Establish relationships with key IT, business, procurement, and executive stakeholders, using consultative selling to connect customer priorities and business outcomes to HPE Networking solutions.
  • Develop clear account strategies for competitive displacement and white-space opportunities, with particular focus on customers where HPE has limited or no current networking footprint.
  • Build and leverage a strong ecosystem of channel, distribution, alliance, and internal HPE partners to increase market coverage, generate demand, and accelerate new-business opportunities.
  • Position the breadth of the HPE Networking portfolio to address customer outcomes such as secure connectivity, AI-driven operations, simplified IT, and modernization.
  • Drive opportunities from prospecting through qualification, solution development, negotiation, and close, maintaining strong sales discipline throughout the end-to-end process.
  • Create and maintain a healthy, qualified pipeline with clear next steps, accurate forecasting, and timely Salesforce updates.
  • Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and margin objectives while increasing HPE's share of wallet and number of active customers across the territory.
  • Develop customer references and advocates that support continued growth across Ontario Public Sector.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated success in hunting for and acquiring new business, developing white-space territories, and creating pipeline rather than relying primarily on an established book of business.
  • Strong business-development mindset with the ability to identify target accounts, create compelling reasons to engage, and convert early conversations into qualified opportunities.
  • Proven experience selling complex enterprise technology solutions into Ontario Public Sector or comparable large, complex organizations.
  • Strong understanding of public-sector buying processes, partner ecosystems, procurement cycles, and the importance of building relationships well ahead of formal opportunities.
  • Excellent executive relationship-building, presentation, negotiation, and consultative-selling skills.
  • Ability to orchestrate internal specialists and external partners around a strategic account plan and competitive sales motion.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles and maintaining disciplined opportunity, pipeline, and forecast management.
  • Competitive, proactive, and accountable approach with a strong bias toward prospecting, customer engagement, and measurable business growth.
