Our products are crafted from premium ingredients and thoughtfully combined with California cannabis. Since our beginning in 2010, our goal has been to create confections that redefine what a cannabis confection ought to be. By applying art and science, we ensure a deliciously consistent experience.

We have high-reaching growth plans as the legal market and consumer adoption expand. Key growth initiatives include ambitious platform innovation, outstanding marketing, geographic expansion, strategic partnerships, and more. We are resourced for this spectacular growth and looking for great people to help take us to the next level.

Job Summary

Due to the Farm Bill, infused products made from hemp are popping up all over the country and growing exponentially. The products are not only being sold in hemp and smoke shops, but also in more traditional places like convenience stores, liquor stores, drug stores, and grocery chains. Hemp very well may be the way that many markets legalize cannabis, forgoing the traditional recreational dispensary route altogether.

These products that are being sold in more traditional channels are leading to an explosion of new-to-THC and legacy black market consumers buying products legally outside of the dispensary. This represents a large opportunity for Kiva as we think about our next phase of growth. We are ready to launch in Minnesota retail locations with our Camino and Petra brands in the hemp/D9 space.

We are looking for a skilled salesperson with existing relationships with traditional retailers that can grow Kiva’s distribution and sales in an assigned territory. The Territory Manager’s main responsibility is to increase Kiva’s assortment in retail and develop and close new qualified customers primarily in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. The qualified salesperson must be extremely knowledgeable about the product lines, represent honesty, integrity, and professionalism, while providing exceptional customer service. Hemp sales experience ideal!!

As Kiva's Territory Manager, you will...

  • Grow Kiva’s portfolio assortment and revenue within defined territory
  • Travel to “traditional” and “non-traditional” retail locations to sell our product portfolio to managers and buyers
  • Assess customer needs, answer questions, and place orders
  • Generate and develop pipeline, follow up as necessary
  • Process necessary paperwork to establish accounts
  • Provide sales reports to management
  • Meet individual goals and collaborate with other territory managers and regional sales manager to successfully meet team goals
  • Manage revenue and distribution targets and reporting for respective territory and identify opportunity and gaps of growth with current portfolio
  • Extensive travel and driving are essential duties and function of this position

This job is for you if...

  • You’re interested in a meaningful job at a growing Cannabis company where you’ll work on a variety of “deals” at once and be appreciated daily for doing your job well.
  • You have integrity and enjoy running an honest sales process.
  • You’ve been told (more than once) that you’re a progressive, a roll-up-the-sleeves, get stuff done type of person that is organized, honest and thoughtful.
  • You don’t leave things to chance and rely on your ability to “wing it.” Rather you’re calculated, prepared, and take measured risks.
  • You have VERY strong conversational communication skills.
  • You have a way with people.

What we're looking for...

  • Associate or Bachelors’ degree in Business, Marketing or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience in CPG, spirits/wine/beer and/or hemp/D9 preferred
  • Demonstrated commitment to excellence and competitive drive
  • Must be highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Must display excellent customer service skills
  • Proficiency using Google Suite and Microsoft Office
  • Must have experience handling high volume incoming calls, emails, text messages
  • Experience handling high volume sales is required
  • Must display excellent communication skills, interpersonal, written, and verbal
  • Enthusiasm for and prior work experience in the Hemp/D9 edible space is a plus
  • Experience working with well-recognized, premium brand company is strongly preferred
