Technical Operations Analyst II
Introduction to the Team
Our Technical Operations team supports critical services and production environments that enable reliable experiences for customers and employees. The team works across infrastructure, cloud operations, software, and partner teams to investigate incidents, improve service reliability, and deliver operational enhancements.
As a Technical Operations Analyst II, you will contribute to a 24/7 production or equivalent technical environment. You will take ownership of complex incidents, lead remediation efforts, support technology and infrastructure projects, and identify opportunities to improve operational processes and customer experiences. You will also mentor junior analysts and help strengthen the team’s technical knowledge and documentation.
In this role, you will:
- Support day-to-day operations in 24/7 production or equivalent technical environments.
- Lead investigations and remediation efforts for high-impact service disruptions.
- Analyze data, system patterns, and operational trends to identify root causes.
- Research known solutions and recommend ways to prevent recurring issues.
- Configure and operate cloud infrastructure using automation, code, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Monitor systems and test code to ensure reliable performance.
- Participate in technology, infrastructure, and cross-functional projects.
- Improve chronic issues and product opportunities through data analysis and stakeholder collaboration.
- Prepare clear, concise, and evidence-based incident reports.
- Develop and maintain technical support documentation.
- Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Facilitate collaboration among teams with different perspectives and areas of expertise.
- Identify process inefficiencies and recommend practical improvements.
- Support data collection, analysis, and initiatives that improve customer and employee satisfaction.
- Mentor junior analysts and share technical knowledge with the team.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 0–2 years of relevant experience, or equivalent practical experience.
- Technical degree or background in infrastructure, cloud operations, software, or a related field.
- Broad knowledge of infrastructure services and moderately complex technical systems.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, automation, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and operational tools.
- Moderate proficiency in at least one programming language.
- Intermediate proficiency in SQL, including the ability to query, join, filter, aggregate, and analyze data to support incident investigations and operational decision-making.
- Understanding of basic APIs, data access patterns, software development concepts, and CI/CD environments.
- Strong analytical thinking skills, with the ability to identify patterns, risks, and underlying problems.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical topics in simple, actionable terms.
- Demonstrated ownership, collaboration, and comfort leading technical investigations.
- Proactive approach to improving processes, services, and operational efficiency.
- Ability to balance technical priorities with business and customer needs.
- Preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, and AWS Associate certification.
