Role Summary
An experienced 5G Packet Core Development Lead to lead the design and development of next-generation cloud-native 5G Core network functions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in 5G Packet Core architecture, microservices-based software development, cloud-native technologies, and distributed systems. The role involves leading a team of software engineers in delivering scalable, high-performance, carrier-grade network functions while driving engineering excellence and innovation.The successful candidate will combine deep telecom domain expertise with modern cloud-native software engineering practices, enabling the development of scalable, resilient, and high-performance 5G Packet Core solutions while providing strong technical leadership to engineering teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, and development of cloud-native 5G Packet Core network functions.
- Drive end-to-end software development using microservices architecture and modern software engineering practices.
- Lead technical discussions, design reviews, code reviews, and architecture decisions.
- Collaborate with system architects, product management, QA, DevOps, and integration teams to deliver high-quality releases.
- Design highly scalable, resilient, and fault-tolerant distributed systems.
- Optimize packet processing performance, latency, and resource utilization.
- Ensure compliance with 3GPP standards and interoperability requirements.
- Drive CI/CD adoption, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
- Participate in customer issue analysis, performance optimization, and production support.
- Own feature delivery, technical planning, effort estimation, and release execution.
