Team Overview
Trusted Call Solutions This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Role Overview And Core Responsibilities
TransUnion is seeking a Software Development Engineer who is ready to join our world-class, global team and contribute to the development of our expanding Trusted Call Solutions suite of services as well as recently acquired RealNetworks Mobile Messaging products. This role is focused on building reliable, scalable services that support high-volume messaging, calling, identity, and fraud-prevention use cases.
Required Knowledge And Experiences
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and QA testers, to design, develop, and implement end-to-end solutions using Java, Spring Framework, Cassandra, and Kafka.
- Build robust and scalable server-side applications using Java and Spring Framework, including RESTful APIs and data storage/retrieval patterns.
- Participate in architectural discussions and provide implementation-focused input to support efficient and scalable software systems.
- Analyze and optimize application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to speed and efficiency.
- Support day-to-day escalated application troubleshooting and contribute to technical specifications, nonfunctional specifications, and estimates based on product and business requirements.
- Develop and test software within Agile delivery practices, including code review, backlog refinement, sprint execution, and release readiness.
- Maintain high standards for code quality, unit testing, documentation, and operational supportability.
- 3+ years of experience designing and developing Spring-based Java services.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot, Spring Web, Spring Security, Spring Data, Kafka, and Cassandra.
- Experience with object-oriented development, microservices architecture, and applicable Java technologies.
- Experience understanding usability designs in user-facing applications.
- Strong Linux skills.
- Familiarity with AWS or comparable cloud technology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional engineering environment.
