Job Description:
The primary role of the Technical Account Manager (TAM) is to deliver proactive services and to provide technical advocacy to HPE Complete Care and GreenLake customers. The TAM will work closely with customers to develop long lasting relationships and customers for life. TAMs are a valued technical resource to customers, peers, and all members of the Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) Account Team. TAMs are typically experts in one (or more) of the defined HPE technologies (compute, storage or networking). The TAM partners with aligned Complete Care Customers, gaining an in-depth understanding of the customer environments from both a technical and operational perspective. TAMs should have an in-depth knowledge of the end-to-end support process and be capable of correcting problems when they occur. In the event of a customer satisfaction issue, the TAM will partner, as needed, with appropriate HPE resources to ensure the issue is resolved.

In this role, you will:
- Act as a trusted technical advisor to senior customer stakeholders and influence customer IT strategy. Support complex and business-critical customer environments across a broad portfolio of HPE technologies or the key technology singled out by the customer.
- Drive technical transformation initiatives and contribute to the evolution of proactive service delivery practices.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, engineering teams, support organizations, and business leaders across HPE.
- Bring new ideas, best practices, and innovative approaches that enhance customer value and team effectiveness.
- Mentor and enable colleagues, helping to raise technical expertise across the wider team.
- Work with a high degree of autonomy while making a meaningful impact on customer success.
How you will integrate into the existing responsibilities?
Lead Proactive Technical Delivery
The TAM will lead the delivery of a predefined set of proactive deliverables, including Firmware and Software gap analysis, collaborating closely with the aligned account team and utilizing the RSS (back-office) where applicable. In addition, the TAM is expected to identify opportunities for service improvement, knowledge sharing, and proactive risk mitigation across customer environments.
Support Activity Reviews
Support incident data is analysed to help identify trends and action plans to reduce risk and recurrence. Drive executive-level technical discussions with customers, translating operational insights into actionable recommendations that improve stability, security, and business outcomes.
Operational Profile Management
Create an operational profile of the aligned customer’s technical environment, in order to understand the criticality and business purpose of the environment. Utilize deep technical expertise to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within complex customer environments and provide strategic guidance to customer stakeholders.
Onsite Visits (optional)
Build strong customer relationships, gain visibility into business priorities, and identify opportunities to expand customer value through proactive advisory engagement.
About you:
- Bachelor degree, preferably in technical studies
- 5+ years’ experience in Client Management or in a Reactive Support Role
- Fluent in written and verbal German and in English
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively across diverse organizations
- Ability to build trusted relationships with customers and stakeholders
- Strong presentation, facilitation and technical advisory skills
- Ability to lead technical discussions and influence customer outcomes
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and customer success
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment in complex situations
- Passion for continuous learning, knowledge sharing and mentoring
- HPE Product expert knowledge and experience in at least one of the following technology domains:
- HPE Compute Products ( Gen10 and newer HPE ProLiant DL, HPE ProLiant DX, HPE Synergy, HPE Superdome Flex,HPE Scale-up 3200 Series)
- HPE HPC & AI Products (HPE Apollo 2000 Gen10+ Series, HPE Cray / ProLiant XD 2000 & XD6500 Series, HPE HPC Storage Solutions (C500, E2000, K3000)
- HPE Storage Products (HPE MSA Gen7 and newer, HPE SimpliVity Gen11 and newer, HPE StoreOnce Gen5 and newer, HPE XP8 and newer )
- MS Office literacy
- AI tools knowledge is a plus
