We’re looking for a passionate, hands-on Support Engineer to join our growing team. You’ll play a critical role in bringing our advanced machine vision systems to life on client sites across the mining industry — from installation and commissioning to ongoing support and remote troubleshooting.
This is a dynamic, customer-facing role where you’ll combine technical expertise with real-world problem-solving in exciting industrial environments. You’ll report to the Support Technical Lead.
- Install and commission state-of-the-art machine vision systems on client equipment (conveyor belts, flotation cells, etc.).
- Configure sensors, IP cameras, IP lasers, network switches, LED lighting, and low-voltage power systems.
- Perform software installation, XML configuration, and system handovers with client training.
- Provide ongoing remote monitoring, diagnostics, and troubleshooting of deployed systems.
- Debug complex issues involving sensors, OPC communication, and data integrity.
- Collaborate with client IT teams on network infrastructure and pre-installation planning.
- Develop smart troubleshooting tools and SOPs to improve support efficiency.
- Build strong, long-term relationships with clients through exceptional technical support.
RequirementsMinimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 2–4 years’ hands-on experience in mining, minerals processing, or industrial electronics.
- Field support experience in harsh industrial environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with electronics (power supplies, PLCs, IP cameras, Wi-Fi, flood lights, etc.).
- Experience with networking infrastructure, servers, firewalls, and database hosting.
- Knowledge of OPC communication is a big advantage.
- Passion for problem-solving and delivering outstanding customer service.
- Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
