This role is responsible for recruiting and educating new Xero Accounting Partners from our inbound lead funnel, assisting them through the initial signup and education stage, whilst working closely with Territory Account Managers to grow Xero practices in South Africa. You will support the Account Executive Team, ensuring that a high level of data quality enables the rapid and accurate identification of sales activity and the increase of customer satisfaction.

You will join a goal-motivated sales development team that thrives on clear metrics, delivering outcomes, and building meaningful partnerships. We collaborate closely to manage the inbound lead funnel, driving sales conversion while working as a coordinated team to create a positive impact across the region. By supporting each other and sharing knowledge, we ensure our partners are set up for absolute success from day one.

Initially, you will focus on

  • Managing the recruitment, education, and growth of the new business partner base while keeping pipeline management in control.

  • Achieving clear monthly success indicators, including reaching a target of 600 calls, 60 meetings, and signing up 25 new partners.

  • Keeping our CRM system (Salesforce) updated with high-quality data from all partner communications, calls, and meetings.

  • Driving attendance at Xero sales events, introductory webinars, and Partner Forums to ensure practices achieve certification.

This is a hybrid role (3 days in the office) based in our Cape Town office.

Here are some of the things we are looking for

  • You bring a results-driven approach with an interest and intrigue in the emerging online accounting market and Fintech.

  • Outstanding telephonic communication skills belong to your toolkit, enabling you to sell over the phone and build quick, strong rapport.

  • Your consultative sales approach allows you to engage partners effectively while comfortably handling a high volume of sales calls.

  • Having experience with Google Drive and CRM databases, preferably Salesforce, will help you manage your pipeline seamlessly.

  • You possess loads of initiative and the ability to work autonomously, taking personal ownership of your processes.

  • Knowledge or experience of the inner workings of an accounting practice is highly desirable for this position.
