What the Role Is

This is the day-shift supervisor for pick and pack at our Commercial Point, Ohio fulfillment center — the person accountable for getting orders picked accurately and packed out the door on time, every shift. You’ll lead a floor team of associates through daily picking, packing, and order fulfillment, own your shift’s throughput and accuracy numbers, and keep the operation safe and moving. This is a hands-on floor role on a 4/10 schedule, Monday through Thursday, 7:00am to 5:30pm. You’ll report to the FC Day Shift Operations Manager.

About Pay

We pay competitive market rates. The starting salary for this position is $65,700– $81,800 annually.

Holidays Observed

The Fulfillment Center is closed on the following days for the day shift in 2026:

  • Thanksgiving Day

All shifts receive 4 floating holidays in addition to the holidays observed, so you can celebrate what matters to you the most, whenever that may be.

Who You Are

  • Experienced supervising a frontline pick and pack team — you’ve led hourly associates on a fulfillment floor and know how to run a shift to daily throughput and accuracy targets, not just work one.
  • Fluent in a warehouse management system (WMS) — you use it daily to assign work, track productivity, and troubleshoot order flow.
  • Able to manage metrics — pick/pack accuracy, units-per-hour, and on-time shipping are how you run your shift, and you know how to move them.
  • Safety-first on the floor — you set the standard and hold the team to it, especially around material handling equipment.
  • Steady under pressure — peak volume, call-outs, and shifting priorities are the job, not the exception.
  • A real coach — you give clear, direct feedback, develop your team, and handle employee relations issues fairly, documenting and partnering with HR when something needs to go further.
  • Experience context: 5+ years leading people, 3+ years in warehouse, fulfillment, or distribution operations.
  • You naturally reach for AI in your work — at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You’re already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what’s coming next.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Run the day-shift pick and pack operation — assign labor, balance the floor, and keep orders flowing to hit daily targets.
  • Lead a team of pick and pack associates — daily direction, coaching, training, and performance management.
  • Own your shift’s core metrics: pick/pack accuracy, throughput, and on-time order fulfillment.
  • Keep safety front and center — enforce standards, run safety routines, and address hazards fast.
  • Spot bottlenecks and fix them — reallocate people, flag process gaps, and escalate what you can’t solve on the floor.
  • Build and hold SOPs and training so quality and pace stay consistent across the team.
  • Scale the team through higher volume times  — onboard and direct new team members without losing accuracy or safety

Why This Role

  • Real ownership of a shift from day one — you run pick and pack for the whole day-shift floor, not a slice of it.
  • Clear, measurable impact — your accuracy and throughput numbers move based on how you lead, and you’ll see it daily.
  • A Monday–Thursday, 4/10 schedule with a standing three-day weekend — rare for a floor leadership role.
  • Room to grow with a fulfillment operation that’s still scaling — supervisors who deliver take on more.

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for extended periods (up to 10–12 hours per shift) with scheduled breaks
  • Walk the floor extensively, averaging 10,000+ steps per day
  • Lift and move items up to 20 lbs regularly throughout the shift
  • Frequent pushing, pulling, bending, twisting, and repetitive motion
