What the Role Is

This role owns replenishment and order writing for Babylist's Furniture and Monitors categories — a mix of bulky, freight-heavy furniture and dropship-fulfilled monitor SKUs. You'll manage inventory flow across a heavily dropship vendor base, balancing in-stock performance against the longer lead times and fulfillment complexity these categories bring. You'll report into Division 3 Planning and work closely with Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance to keep the category healthy.

Who You Are

  • You have hands-on experience managing dropship inventory — you know how to plan and track stock you don't physically hold, coordinate with vendors on availability, and catch outages before they become customer-facing problems.
  • You've owned replenishment and order writing for a category with real complexity — long lead times, freight considerations, or a fragmented vendor base.
  • You're comfortable working in a planning system day to day and can pick up new tools quickly (NetSuite, Sigma, or similar planning/BI platforms).
  • You have advanced Excel skills and are confident working with large data sets.
  • You have a strong foundation in retail math and inventory planning concepts (OTB, WOS, sell-through).
  • You communicate clearly with vendors and cross-functional partners, especially when flagging risk early.
  • You naturally reach for AI in your work — at Babylist, every team uses AI daily. You're already using it to move faster and improve your output, and you stay curious about what's coming next.

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Execute replenishment and order writing across Furniture and Monitors, keeping inventory aligned to forecast and in-stock targets.
  • Manage a dropship vendor base — tracking availability, coordinating on delivery timing, and resolving discrepancies before they hit customers.
  • Own monthly Open-to-Buy inputs for the category: trend analysis, risk flags, and forecast updates.
  • Deliver weekly sales and inventory recaps with clear, actionable takeaways for the planning team.
  • Build pre-season inventory forecasts at the category, brand, and SKU level.
  • Track out-of-stocks and discontinued items, proactively communicating risk to internal partners.
  • Partner with Merchandising on new product introductions and assortment changes.

Why This Role

  • You'd be stepping into an established category with real scope from day one — Furniture and Monitors are being handed off as part of a broader team restructure, not built from scratch.
  • Dropship is a genuinely different planning problem than owned inventory, and this is a chance to specialize in it rather than treat it as a footnote.
  • You'll have direct exposure to Merchandising, Supply Chain, and Finance on a category that carries real freight and vendor complexity — good ground for someone who wants to grow into bigger scope.

About Compensation

We use a market-based approach to compensation. The starting salary range for this role is:

$93,820 to $125,081

Your starting salary will be based on your location, experience, and qualifications, with increases over time tied to performance, role growth, and internal pay equity.
