Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for automated build, test, and deployment in a Windows environment.

  • Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform for scalable and secure cloud environments.

  • Configure and manage AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.) to support application deployments and infrastructure needs.

  • Automate system configuration and provisioning using Chef.

  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of applications.

  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure system reliability and performance.

  • Optimize deployment processes and troubleshoot issues across Windows-based environments.

  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and governance policies in cloud and infrastructure setups.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in DevOps practices and infrastructure automation.

  • Hands-on expertise with:

    • Configuration Management: Chef

    • Infrastructure as Code: Terraform

    • CI/CD Tools: Jenkins

    • Cloud Platforms: AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.)

  • Good scripting and programming skills in Ruby, PowerShell or Python.

  • Solid understanding of Windows Server administration, networking fundamentals, and Active Directory.

  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments.

Education Qualification

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with a minimum years of 8+ years of experience.

Technical Expertise:

  • Good knowledge of Windows Server Management

  • System monitoring, process management, permissions

  • Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, firewalls)

  • Experience working on GitHub/GitLab version control systems

  • Hands-on experience on branching strategies (Gitflow, trunk-based)

  • Expertise on Pipeline creation and optimization, Build/test/deploy automation and Artifact management

  • Expertise working on AWS and Cloud services

  • Automating infrastructure provisioning Tools: Terraform (industry standard)

  • Integrating security into pipelines such as vulnerability scanning, identity and access control

  • Demonstrates clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions

  • Influences through others; builds direct and "behind the scenes" support for ideas

  • Proactively identifies and removes project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
