You will join an established team of Software Engineers working on a complex and mission critical system. The first few months will be focused on understanding the modern, micro service, event driven architecture and contributing to the code, whilst getting familiar with the new feature requests from the stakeholders and provide analysis and feedback on their requirements, before leading the team towards their implementation.
At the same time, you will be the line manager for the team, reporting to the Head of Software Engineering - Data. Subsequently, you will be mentoring the team towards increasing their skillset and best practices, as well as participating in the execution of new - greenfield - projects.
Key Responsibilities- Hands-on development in C# (.NET 8, moving to .NET 10).
- Manage and support a team of 5 engineers.
- Contribute to software design for current and future projects.
- Drive continuous improvement and maintain high code quality.
- Own the code released to production.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to turn complex business needs into features.
- Perform code reviews.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering (C# is a must; Angular/TypeScript is a plus).
- Strong TDD mindset – we value safe, efficient code.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Deep knowledge of design patterns and best practices (SOLID, Clean Code).
- Experience with Azure Pipelines and CI/CD.
- Strong SQL skills (Microsoft SQL Server).
- Familiarity with NoSQL (Gremlin, Cosmos).
- Comfortable working in highly concurrent, event-sourced environments.
The salary range for this position is between €4,500 and €6,000 / month gross.
