Job Details
Reporting to the Regional Vice President, you will be a key member of the team and bring your developing analytical skills to a variety of regional projects and meetings. You will be required to give admin support to the RVP from diary management, travel and entertainment support and coordinating various meetings and projects. You will also be responsible for consulting with all departments to help define reporting, develop analytic solutions and the delivery of intelligence and insight. The Business Analyst will develop to provide expertise in BI analytic tools, providing on-demand reporting and training to other users, as well as executing ad hoc analysis as required.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as a key resource for interpreting data and information; communicates results to regional leaders.
- Supports creation of speech and presentation materials for the RVP.
- Utilizes business intelligence tools across all departments and functional areas providing detailed reporting and analysis.
- Assesses analytics and reporting needs; in time providing recommendations for enhanced solutions and specifications for business intelligence tools.
- Supports the delivery of BI solutions to internal customers.
- Supports prioritization of reporting needs across process areas to support deployment strategies and business needs.
- Supports development and definition of data management standards and processes to effectively manage data through the reporting life cycle.
- Supports data mining of customer and sales force information for all market segments.
- Maintains and develops strong working relationships with business owners as a process advocate.
- Support the RVP with coordinating meetings, following up on open items and provide admin support with their travel and entertainment requirements.
Education:
- Training in fields such as business administration, accountancy, sales, marketing, or computer science generally obtained through completion of a three/four year Bachelor's Degree program
Work Experience:
- Experience developing strong analytics and reporting knowledge strongly desired
Skills and Knowledge:
- Ability to effectively participate in cross-functional problem solving teams
- Planning, analytical and conceptual skills to evaluate business problems and identify and apply appropriate solutions
- Solid business acumen
- Experience relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server or Access) and data management desirable
- Experience with object oriented programming (e.g. VBA, Python) desirable
- Experience with statistical or maths packages (e.g. R, Stata, SPSS) desirable
- Experience with business intelligence tools, capabilities, and best practices desirable
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Excel essential
- Presentation skills
- Ability to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Excellent judgment and decision making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
- Willing to work extended hours as required
