We are looking for a smart and reliable Software Engineer Middle to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.
The ideal candidate has excellent abilities in Software Engineering, experience with different types of systems and structures (application, interface and underlying subsystems), DevOps awareness and scripting skills.
Responsibilities:

Review requirements, specifications and technical documentation
-
Create and maintain software modules mainly in Rust and WebAssembly as target
-
Carry out the Software development activities on the system integration platform until the system acceptance
-
Create and perform research (Proof of Concepts) for various software technologies
-
Participate to project’s ceremonies (i.e. Agile, Waterfall, V-Model)
-
Based on business needs, travel outside the country may be required
Requirements:
Knowledge and skills:
-
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or similar background
-
5 years working experience in software development ( systems programming is an advantage)
-
Experience with programming languages such as Rust/Python/C/C++
-
Experience with other OOP programming languages such as Java would be considered an advantage
-
Experience with scripting programming languages: Bash, Perl, etc.

Experience with testing and debugging in an embedded environment
-
Good understanding of communication / networking interfaces and protocols (TCP/IP stack)
-
Knowledge of operating systems: Linux, Windows
-
Knowledge of continuous integration, build and deployment tools
-
Knowledge of JIRA ticketing system or similar systems
-
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
-
Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Fluent in English
