Job DescriptionThis role supports the Senior Incentive Manager in designing, modeling, forecasting, calculating, validating, and improving sales incentive plans. It works with SFE, Sales, Finance, HR, Commercial, and Compliance teams to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely incentive processes aligned with business goals.
- Support the Senior Incentive Manager in incentive policy design, review, documentation, approval, and communication processes.
- Build and maintain incentive simulation models, payout estimation tools, and scenario analysis to evaluate business impact, affordability, fairness, and compliance considerations.
- Collect, consolidate, and validate performance data, KPI inputs, eligibility information, territory changes, and other incentive-related data from Sales, Finance, HR, KA, Commercial, and SFE teams.
- Execute periodic incentive calculation, payout validation, variance checking, and issue tracking to ensure accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
- Prepare incentive performance reports, payout analysis, estimation updates, and management summaries to support decision-making and business reviews.
- Support incentive plan communication, field inquiries, exception handling, and documentation of calculation logic, approval records, and governance materials.
- Monitor actual payout results and provide analytical insights to identify opportunities for incentive effectiveness improvement and process optimization.
- Support other incentive-related projects and cross-functional initiatives as assigned.
30% - Support incentive policy design, governance, and communication, including plan rule drafting, eligibility and KPI principles, approval materials, field communication, issue handling, and coordination with Sales, Finance, HR, Commercial, Compliance, KA, and SFE teams to ensure compliant and consistent execution.
25% - Build and maintain incentive simulation, payout estimation, and scenario analysis models to assess policy options, budget impact, payout distribution, fairness, compliance considerations, and business feasibility for management review.
30% - Execute incentive calculation, validation, and payout analysis by consolidating performance, KPI, eligibility, territory, and adjustment inputs; reconciling results against approved rules; resolving exceptions; and preparing payout files, validation records, and management summaries.
15% - Monitor incentive effectiveness and support ad hoc projects by analyzing payout outcomes, performance linkage, field feedback, issue trends, process efficiency, and improvement opportunities for policy refinement, reporting optimization, and governance enhancement.
QualificationsEducation and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree is required
- Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, commercial excellence, SFE, finance, compensation, or sales operations functions.
Essential Skills, Experience, and Competencies (includes Licenses, Credentials)
- Strong analytical capability and attention to detail, with demonstrated ability to manage complex data, validate calculation logic, and identify exceptions.
- Advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power BI, SQL, VBA, or other analytics tools is a plus.
- Good understanding of sales incentive mechanisms, field force performance metrics, target setting, payout rules, and commercial business processes.
- Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills, with ability to work effectively with Sales, Finance, HR, Compliance, Commercial, and SFE teams.
- High sense of ownership, confidentiality, compliance awareness, and capability to deliver under tight timelines.
- Fluent oral English is a plus.
