Job Profile Summary
The Senior Technology Implementation Consultant is a client-facing role responsible for leading the successful delivery of complex healthcare technology integration projects across a diverse provider and payer landscape. This position partners closely with healthcare organizations to understand clinical, operational, and regulatory requirements, translating them into scalable, compliant technical solutions. The consultant leads the configuration and deployment of systems such as interoperability platforms, and other healthcare applications, ensuring seamless data exchange and alignment with industry standards (e.g., HL7 v2, FHIR).
Acting as a trusted advisor, the consultant guides customers on best-practice implementations that improve workflows, enhance patient outcomes, and support regulatory compliance. They collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, including clinical teams, IT departments, and executive leadership, throughout the full project lifecycle, driving solution design and delivering high-quality implementations. Success in this role requires technical expertise, strong customer-centered communication skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the healthcare environment.
Job Qualifications
Experience:
- 5+ years of direct healthcare experience working with HL7 v2.x interfaces and API-based integrations, including customer-facing implementation or solutions engineering experience.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, healthcare informatics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Hands-on experience with FHIR APIs and an understanding of SMART on FHIR authorization flows
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, business administration, healthcare informatics or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Sound understanding of REST APIs, JSON/XML, HTTP concepts, authentication methods (OAuth, API Keys, etc.)
- Experience using interface engines or integration tools (e.g. – Cloverleaf, Mirth/NextGen Connect, Rhapsody, Corepoint, etc.)
- Experience working directly with customers, with the ability to explain technical details to clients in a clear, business-friendly language. Experience translating requirements into data mappings, workflows and technical specifications.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem identification and solving skills with the ability to debug complex, cross-system issues.
- Experience with API testing/documentation tools (e.g. Postman, SOAP UI, etc.)
- Ability to read technical specs and EMR interface documentation and ability to produce/oversee technical documentation: API references, field mappings, onboarding build guides and troubleshooting playbooks.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Proficient in analyzing and interpreting data using tools like Excel and SQL.

- Establish positive, collaborative relationships with customer representatives even under difficult or escalated circumstances.
- Act and communicate professionally as a representative of the Wolters Kluwer Health team
- Respond quickly and appropriately to customer questions, needs and requests and coordinate resources to meet those needs.

Compensation:
$78,400.00 - $136,950.00 USDThis role is eligible for Bonus.
Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
