Roles and Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
• Build, design and implement CT image generation/reconstruction software – algorithms and applications.
• Lead complex SW designs and related discussions
• Collaborate with system engineers, algorithm developers and other software developers from across the globe to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions for CT
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Agile/Scrum, CI, requirements analysis, documentation practices, software and product security, scalability, refactoring and testing techniques
• Understand, assess and optimize algorithms and applications performance
• Take part in developing a common imaging platform for all GEHC imaging products
• Work on core data structures and algorithms and implement them using C++, Python, CUDA, OpenCL
Education Qualification
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering or related degree
Desired Characteristics Technical Expertise:
C++ and Python programming experience
Excellent communication skills – able to effectively collaborate with engineers across the globe in a global organization.
Able to write high quality maintainable code allowing long term support as well as flexibility of requirements, target HW and algorithms design.
Aware of methods and practices such as Agile/SCRUM and continuous integration.
Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
Able to grasp system view, understanding the full picture and end-to-end solution
Proven ability to use generative AI tools for improved productivity
5+ years of software development experience
Advantages:
Experience in Healthcare Software Development, especially medical imaging software development, ideally for CT.
Experience with algorithm development using GPU, and image algorithms development/performance optimizations in particular
Prior work experience in an agile environment, and SCRUM in particular.
Understand the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, bring new ideas to the team
