The Mission
The Payments team is the backbone of monday.com’s business. We power the entire subscription lifecycle through a cutting-edge, homegrown platform that handles everything from customer onboarding and payment processing to complex subscription logic and user license management.
We are on a mission to drive company growth by reshaping how our products are defined, monetized, and consumed. As we move into the era of AI-driven work, our team is building the foundation for a self-serve monetization engine — one that can track, price, and enforce usage for millions of users and autonomous agents in real-time.
About The RoleAs a Technical Product Manager, you will own the evolution of our monetization infrastructure, balancing immediate business requirements with the long-term scalability of our platform.
- Set Vision and Strategy: Define the long-term direction for our monetization infrastructure, including our product catalog, license management, and usage metering systems.
- Streamline the Commercial Lifecycle: Build the infrastructure for Order-to-Quote (CPQ) and our Unified Catalog. You will turn complex pricing versions and offerings into a self-service tool that allows the company to launch new products and pricing models in minutes.
- Build Usage & Pricing Infrastructure: Develop the systems that power diverse pricing models—including usage limits, overages, and consumption-based billing—ensuring they are robust enough to handle the next generation of AI-driven products.
- Partner with Pricing & Packaging: Work closely with business teams to translate commercial strategies into scalable products, enabling new bundling options, pricing models, and innovative commercial offerings.
- Roadmap & Execution: Build and maintain a roadmap that balances business agility with technical excellence. You will lead execution by setting priorities, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality delivery of foundational initiatives.
- 5+ years of Product Management experience: You have a track record of building complex, high-scale backend platforms or infrastructure-heavy products.
- Systems Thinking: You have a "platform first" approach. You enjoy designing how different systems (Catalog, Billing, Licensing) interact to form a cohesive engine, and you can anticipate how a change in one area impacts the entire commercial flow.
- Curiosity for the AI Economy: You are excited by the challenge of moving beyond "per-seat" pricing into the world of consumption-based billing for AI and automated workflows.
- Master of Influence: You can navigate a high-growth environment, aligning engineering, finance, and business teams around a shared technical vision.
- Entrepreneurial Agency: You operate like the CEO of your domain. You thrive in ambiguity and see every technical bottleneck as a problem worth solving.
- Analytical Mindset: You are data-driven and use metrics to validate your decisions and measure the impact of your products.
