Join the Team Powering the World's Best Endurance Athletes

At TrainingPeaks, we believe that behind every great athlete is a great coach and the right technology to help them reach their potential. Our platform is trusted by Tour de France winners, Olympic gold medalists, and everyday endurance athletes to plan, track, and analyze their training. Whether you're a performance-driven athlete, a passionate coach, or someone who simply thrives on building tools that empower others, TrainingPeaks is where ambition meets impact.

As part of the Peaksware portfolio, consisting of brands like TrainingPeaks, MakeMusic, Alfred Music, TrainHeroic, we’re united by a shared mission: to create software that transforms deliberate practice into performance. At Peaksware, we don’t just build products. We build communities of motivated people chasing progress, including athletes, musicians, performers, and the teams that support them.

As a Senior Marketing Technologist, your role is to bridge the gap between marketing strategy, technology implementation, and advanced data analytics. You will be responsible for leveraging marketing tools, platforms, and technologies to optimize marketing efforts, improve campaign performance, and enhance the customer experience. A primary focus of this role will be designing, building, and maintaining our marketing attribution framework—linking front-end ad platforms with backend database information to provide a clear picture of marketing ROI. This is a highly technical role that sits at the intersection of marketing operations and data engineering. Your marketing technology expertise will be crucial in driving data-driven decision-making and achieving marketing objectives.

You will be a part of the Marketing team, collaborate closely with the Data, Acquisition, Lifecycle, Product Marketing and Product teams, and report to the Sr. Director, Growth.

Core Functions

  • Collaborate with the marketing teams to develop and execute marketing technology strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Architect, implement, and maintain multi-touch attribution (MTA) models and data pipelines that connect ad platform spend and performance data with internal business metrics.
  • Manage the end-to-end Marketing systems and processes that unlock the execution of the marketing strategies.
  • Ensure the integrity of frontend data collection and backend data ingestion to allow marketing and data analytics teams to generate timely and actionable insights.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret marketing data to generate timely and actionable insights.
  • Provide technical recommendations on stack capabilities, tool connections, and API integrations to optimize marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Utilize data management tools and techniques to segment audiences, track campaign performance, and measure marketing ROI.
  • Own the implementation of server-side tracking and ad platform Conversions APIs (CAPI) to combat signal loss and ensure accurate downstream attribution.
  • Collaborate with the broader data analytics team to ensure data integrity, accuracy, and clean identity resolution across disparate data sources.
  • Identify and evaluate emerging marketing technologies, tools, and trends to enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Coordinate with web and mobile developers to implement effective landing pages, forms, and tracking mechanisms.
  • Train marketing teams on the effective use of marketing technologies and platforms. Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and guidance to ensure optimal utilization of marketing tools.
  • Ensure compliance with global data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) by using cookie consent frameworks (OneTrust) to programmatically block or allow script firing based on user preferences.
