Job Description

This position is responsible for driving the sales strategy and execution for our trade finance and working capital products to achieve significant revenue growth. You will be the primary sales champion for all trade and working capital solutions, including letters of credit, guarantees, supply chain finance, and invoice discounting. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, customer needs, and the competitive landscape to effectively position our offerings. You will be responsible for originating, structuring, and closing complex deals, fostering strong client relationships, and collaborating with product and other internal teams to deliver tailored solutions to a diverse client base in Tanzania and across key economic corridors.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: First Degree
Field of Study: Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.

Preferred Qualification: A master’s degree is strongly preferred and Trade Finance Certifications, CDCS, CSDG, CTFP

Experience Required
Solutioning
Transaction Banking
8-10 years
In a client-facing sales or business development role within transaction banking, corporate banking, or financial services, with a specific focus on trade finance and working capital products.

8-10 years
Advanced understanding of functional area and a competent understanding of the overall CIB business and competitive environment with broad knowledge across more than one discipline.

8-10 years
Contributes to the development of client experience strategies and executes through bespoke client engagements. Partners with other providers to enhance and support the client experience.

Demonstrate a track record of identifying and implementing alternative / multiple solutions across a single market contributing to market growth

Demonstrates knowledge of the macro context working across multiple jurisdictions. Assimilates and applies knowledge to identify, plan and solution for multiple clients

Display an understanding of the relevant legislation, regulations and audit requirements within relevant geographies to provide guidance and support to team members and sales teams
