Role summary

Own the end-to-end electrical design and validation of custom PCBs that power Halter's production fixtures and test systems. You'll work at the intersection of hardware design and manufacturing — ensuring the electronics our production and test teams rely on is robust, diagnosable, and built to last.

What you'll do

  • Design custom PCBs from schematic through layout, bring-up, and production handover.

  • Define and execute validation strategy for new and revised hardware (coverage, acceptance criteria, evidence packs).

  • Partner with Machine Design, Test Software, and Production to ensure hardware meets line requirements.

  • Lead root cause analysis for electrical failures in production and test hardware; own durable CAPA.

  • Manage PCB fab and assembly relationships; drive DFM feedback and acceptance testing.

What we're looking for

  • Strong PCB design skills: mixed-signal and power, schematic to layout.

  • Hands-on bring-up and validation experience (oscilloscope, instruments, scripted test).

  • Track record delivering reliable hardware in a production or test environment.

  • Comfortable working across mechanical, software, and firmware boundaries.

Nice to have

  • Firmware/embedded experience: comfortable reading code, debugging hardware-firmware interfaces.

  • Mechanical CAD familiarity: enough to collaborate closely on fixture integration.
